" So what do you think about the new kids?". Alehandra asked the two girls who were walking with her. "Hmm... I don't know. I just don't understand why all of a sudden this school has given out scholarships and mind you not even rich kids but poor ones". Lucretia complained and Alehandra rolled her eyes. " That Guillermo guy seems interesting. He intrigues me". Rosá spoke her mind. "Interesting? I'd say ridiculous. He looks like he just got out of a circus". Lucretia said as the dark haired and blonde haired girls next to her laughed at what she said. They spotted their friends at their usual place and made their way towards them. Rosá as usual made her way to Àron and gave him a peck. "Honestly, you guys are disgusting". Emiliano said. "At least we're better than you guys". Àron fired and their friend group laughed. "So will Maria come to my party?". Lucretia asked before a loud voice interrupted her. "Did someone say party?". A voice yelled and they all turned to see Guillermo. "Yes, hello. Do you speak Spanish?". Lucretia mocked him in English. Emiliano started muttering insults are his breath. "She was talking to her friends". Emiliano finally said. Guillermo not finding it a big deal casually said, " Are you guys on i********:?". He asked the girls. "I'd like to give you my username". He added. "Oh si, si. Please do". Alehandra noticed Emiliano clenching his fists. "Hey are you okay". She asked. "I'm fine Ale. He just seems to get on my nerves". Emiliano replied. He seemed to slighty calm down but the i***t new kid didn't really know how to shup up. Asking for Lucretia's i********: username. That was when Emiliano lost it. He threw a punch to Guillermo's sculptured face. "Oh my God. Emiliano what's wrong with you. Esta loco?". Lucretia gave her boyfriend a piece of her mind. "I was protecting you". Her boyfriend said to her. "From what? He was just asking for my i********: username. What's the bad thing in that?". She threw her hands up showing everyone how irritated she was with her boyfriend. "Hey, hey. Guys calm done okay. We don't need WWIII in here okay". Alehandra said before dragging Rosá and Lucretia out of the room. As it was the close of school, it didn't matter when they got out. Alehandra drove to Rodriguez. It was the most expensive designer store in Madrid and lucky for her, her mother owned it. They made their way inside after getting out from Alehandra's Audi. Sitting down was a woman with black hair wearing a black flowy dress. "Mama". Alehandra was practically running to her mother. "Mija". Her mother was really excited to see her daughter after all these hours. "Cómo era la escuela". Her mother asked. Elena didn't like speaking English as she didn't want her kids to forget their native language. "Estuvo bien, Mama". Alehandra replied. "Mama, we have come here to pick our outfits for Lu's Sweet Sixteen". Alehandra told her mother. Elena had been to caught up to realise there were two girls she saw as her daughters. "Ah Lu, it's been a long time since I saw you". Elena said in Spanish. "Elena, you saw me last week for dress fitting". Lucretia laughed at the older woman's antics. After telling to girls were their outfits where, they immediately rushed to the place. They made their way towards a large room full of designer clothes. Alehandra and Rosá sat on the sofa behind them waiting for Lucretia to choose her dress before they chose their own. It was a pact the three of them had made wgen they were kids that if one of them had a special day, they(the one with the special day) would try on her dress first. She came out in a black mini dress. "Too short". "Too black". She came out in different dresses and their answers were the same. 'Too long'. 'Are you going to church?'. The last statement was obviously Alehandra's. Finally, she came out in a gold metallic dress with thin straps. "Yep this is it". Alehandra and Rosá squealed. Alehandra tried on a pastel blue silk wrap dress and Rosá tried on a black rhinestone blazer and a matching skirt. When they left it was about 6pm in the evening. Both Ale and Rosá informed their parents that they were going to Lucretia's house. Lucretia's father, Antonio Montecillo was the Minister in Spain. Having a few successful business, he managed to build a mansion on a hill. It was thoroughly made with glass and it perfectly fit the Montecillo family as the wife of the house had a wine yard of her own and their little girl walked in fashion shows. Alehandra got there on time whiles Rosá came about an hour late. When she was questioned, she simply said, "I am fashionably late. No comments please". The three girls made their selfs comfortable on Lucretia's insanely huge bed which could fit about four people. "Where are you going to throw you party". Rosá asked. "Here obviously. I don't want Mama to spend too much on me". Lucretia said. "And you're sure that's not gonna happen?". Alehandra c****d an eyebrow. Yes she was cool like that. "What? It's my sixteenth birthday. It has to be luxurious. It is only once in a lifetime opportunity". Lucretia said. "That was what you said about your quinceañera last year". Alehandra deadpanned. " Lu is right. It has to ne luxurious". Rosá agreed with the former. After some hours, they decided to sleep not knowing what was to happen a week later. A quinceañera simply means the celebration of a girl's fifteenth birthday marking her passage from childhood to adulthood ; the term is also used for the celebrant herself. In most Hispanic cultures , this is a must.
