“Beta Henry” I called “Alpha, Ella is not home, her neighbors said she left early in the morning" he reported. "There is no need troubling Ella now she most still be in shock all we need to do is making sure she is safe” I replied as he left

I picked up the calendar in my desk just three months left for me to live I want you to be my Luna not only to save me but to be by my side forever

Ella's POV

The airport was crowded, but somehow I still felt alone.

I tightened my grip on my suitcase as I waited to board my flight. Maybe Grandma was right.

Grandma stays at Asheville but there is something I most do at Greenville Maybe a change of place was exactly what I needed.Final boarding call."

I stood up and walked toward the gate.

Suddenly, a strange pain shot through my chest.

I stopped walking.

My heart was racing.

It felt like someone was calling me.

"Ella..."

I looked around quickly but no one was there.

I shook my head. "You're imagining things," I whispered.

Then my phone rang.

Claire.

I stared at the screen before rejecting the call.

A second later, she called again.

Then again.

Finally, a message appeared.

Claire: Please answer. Kael is in danger, he is a cursed alpha.

I switched off my phone, not my problem, I boarded the plane and sat by the window.

As the aircraft prepared for takeoff, dark clouds gathered outside, would be the best time for nap I thought

Alpha keal POV

A knock echoed through my office, "Come in," I said, the door opened, and Beta Henry hurried inside.

"Alpha, we've found a lead." He said I stood up immediately. "What is it?" I asked"Ella boarded a flight."

My heart pounded. "Where did she go?"

"Greenville."he replied

I frowned."Greenville?"

"Yes, Alpha. That's all we've been able to confirm."

Lucan, my wolf growled inside me find her he said, I grabbed my coat."Get the car ready."

"Alpha, you've barely rested. The curse is getting worse."

"I don't care."

Henry sighed.

"As you command."

As we walked out, I looked back at my office.

"Ella," I whispered. "I know you hate me, but I have to know you're safe.”

Ella's POV

The plane landed finally at Greenville, I need to see someone before going to my grandma's at Asheville. I came out of the airport and immediately took a taxi

The taxi came to a stop. "We're here, miss."he said

I looked out the window and nodded.

"Thank you."

I paid the driver and stepped out, holding the bouquet of white lilies I had bought earlier.

The cemetery was quiet, I walked slowly until I found the grave I was looking for.

My mother's grave.

I stared at the headstone for a long time.

"So... this is where you've been."

I knelt and gently placed the flowers down.

A tear rolled down my cheek.

"I don't even know what to call you, Mom sounds strange because I never got to know you."I said lowering my head.

"Why did you have to leave me?"

"I know you didn't choose to die, but why couldn't you stay?"

My voice broke.

"I never got to hear your voice, never got to hold your hand, never got to know what a mother's love feels like." More tears fell I could not control them

"And now I've lost the man I thought I would spend the rest of my life with."

I wiped my eyes.

"He lied to me."

"They all lied to me."

"I wish you were here to tell me what to do."

The wind blew softly through the trees.

After a few minutes, I stood up.

As I turned to leave, something caught my eye.

A small bunch of flowers rested behind the grave, they looked fresh, not more than a week old.I frowned.

"Someone visits you?" I mummered. Curious, I stepped closer.

Behind the headstone was a strange carving.

A wolf.

Its shape was carefully sketched into the stone.

I stared at it for a moment.

"That's strange." A chill ran through me.I shook my head.

"It probably doesn't mean anything” I said Picking up my bag as I walked away.

Tonight, I will stay with a friend before deciding what to do next.

I never noticed the dark figure standing among the trees, watching me leave.

Keal POV

By the time we reached Greenville, the sun was setting.

"Any sign of her?" I asked.Beta Henry shook his head, "No, Alpha." I clenched my fists Think, Keal. Where would Ella go? Then it came to me.

"Her mother's grave." I said loudly Henry looked at me. "The cemetery."We drove there immediately.

The moment I stepped through the gates, I stopped, Her scent Ella had been here.

I followed it until I reached the grave, Fresh white lilies rested against the headstone.

A smile touched my lips.

"You came to see your mother." Then I noticed something else, fresh flowers behind the grave.

I bent down and touched them "They're recent." I said

Henry stepped beside me, "Alpha..." He called look at this

My eyes moved to the back of the headstone, a wolf was carved into the stone.

My expression darkened. "I know this mark." I said

Henry looked at me in surprise.

"You think someone else has found her?" He asked, I stood slowly. "I don't know." I replied

I took a deep breath. Ella's scent was still strong.

She had not been gone for long. I looked around the quiet cemetery.She came here for a reason.

Henry waited for my orders."Search Greenville, Every hotel, every motel, every bus station and every street."

I looked back at the grave."Ella was here." My wolf growled inside me.

"And until I know otherwise, I'm not leaving Greenville without finding her.”
