Chapter 19: The Close In “Where is Alex?” Precious’s voice trembled as she clutched Reid tightly, her eyes darting to the door Alex had stepped through hours ago. I didn’t have an answer for her. My throat felt dry, and my legs were restless as I paced the cramped space of the cabin. Alex was supposed to check the perimeter and come back immediately. That was hours ago. The clock ticked past midnight.
