Chapter 2: The Wait

8:00 am

The constant morning noises woke Rai up from her sleep, but this time she felt fresh having the constant four-hour sleep. Getting up from bed she looked around and found her baby secure in her little crib babbling. Rai had the urge to cuddle and kiss her baby but her rational maternal mind told her to get fresh and feed the baby first and by the choices of rational mind, Rai headed to the bathroom.

With a light green towel wrapped around her head, Rai came to her baby picked her up and kissed her little chubby cheek. The baby wrapped one hand around Rai’s hand and placed the other one on her right b**b and batted her eyelashes. Rai could not hold her laughter at the adorable antiques of her daughter and burst out laughing.

She took the baby to bed and started feeding her. While feeding the baby her eyes travelled to the recent family photo, that had replaced her wedding photo to include the baby. She blushed looking at the man smiling at the camera, while holding the right hand of their child. Awing at the cuteness of the father daughter bond, she focused her attention to her daughter who was almost finished.

After burping the baby, she came out of the room and the lovely aroma of the food hit her. Settling the child in the crib with the toys she proceeded for her breakfast. It was already 9 and everyone had eaten, so Rai sat alone at the dining table and ate while checking her phone searching for the notification she longed for, but found nothing.

This time Rai did not feel irritated, a sudden fear seemed to fill her heart but within seconds, she was able to shake it off.
