“What do you think you are doing?” Liam asked Dre.
As she had stormed off leaving the dining table, the mood had become sour for everyone in the house.
“You are saying these hurtful things to your mother just because of some boy?” Liam questioned.
Dre heard him but did not see backward to look at him. It irritated her that he was coming here to lawyer the case of her mother.
"He is not some boy, Liam,” Dre said arrogantly.
This hit a nerve.
Liam gritted his teeth, “So, you will talk to her like that?"
"Like what?" Dre asked. "She was the one who is controlling my life. I can do what I want to do. Period," She said, ending the topic from her side.
"She is thinking of your farewell," Liam tried to explain, "She do not like Jay very much, that’s it".
This made Dre laughed humorless
