Damian stepped out of the elevator, lurching his way down the hall. He had been careful while driving Marcie’s car; he knew that if there was a single dent or scratch, he would be skinned alive. He was exhausted. Damian wasn’t necessarily an energetic guy to begin with, but the fight had completely annihilated his reserves. He weakly lifted his head up, checking the hallway.
