“But, of course, this isn’t just any box,” Gerard declared. He gave his wand a dramatic flourish. Behind his back, his free hand hastily flexed and twisted, gesturing several key steps of the spell. “This box…” he boomed, as he tapped it with his wand, ushering a loud oooh! from the audience as his wand emitted a flash of light. “Is a MOTHER!” Gerard lifted the box up, revealing four small balls. He let out a shocked, over the top gasp. “Oh no…” he whispered dramatically. “Has mama box been cheating on Papa box with… THE BALL BOY?!? WHAT WILL PAPA BOX THINK?!?”
The crowd roared in laughter. Gerard placed the box down, stepped out from behind his table, and gave a deep bow. The room reverberated with applause. It was obvious that several of his patrons had been drinking, but Gerard didn’t
