I have been thinking about it since then. There wasn’t a day that I didn’t think of it. It’s like it’s tattooed in my mind and I just couldn’t take it off. I still wonder what the is. A spirit guide, a magical light, I don’t know. Maybe a spirit guide because it kept staring at me. It only shows up when I feel confused, lonely, sad, and when I don’t know what to do with my life. Especially when I think about my father. Could it be my father’s wolf? Natalia gets excited every time we see it around. I shrugged my thoughts off when my mother called me to get ready. It has been months of training and I can say that I am getting better but I have a lot more to learn. I have already mastered the basics and I am currently working out harder to be able to do the stunts my mother tasked me to do. My mother has a lot of knowledge about wolf martial arts. She said that she was the only human in the pack before and that she used to be with the pack army and she’d fight with the same strength of the other wolves. She said that she was one of the strongest women in their pack. She told me a lot of things about her wolf life but she never mentioned my father. Maybe, if my father’s here, the training will be awesome. They’d teach me both of their skills and I’m going to sit here and listen to their amazing adventures and experiences. “Mom, how was it like living with the pack?” I asked her. “It was great! Everyone was friendly and everyone looked up to me for being one of the strongest but...” The smile on her face faced when she said ‘but’. What could’ve happened to my mother's painful past? “... I guess I’m not meant to be with them after all.” She bitterly chuckled and told me to stand up and do the daily routine workout that we do. It has been months of training so the hard tasks before became easy for me now. I am in the middle of being weak and strong. And every day, I am so much closer to being just like my mother. A legend. “Again,” my mother seriously said when I made a one-second mistake. She doesn’t even allow me to finish the whole it first! “Again.” She was very serious about this and every time we’re in training she doesn’t act like a mother! She pretends like I’m not her daughter! “Again,” she softly said because this time, I was almost able to make it. I tried it once again, hopeful and too confident that I can do the stunt now but I saw a blue flashing light from the forest again so I fell roughly to the ground. “Again!” “Mom! My back hurts!” I complained, massaging my back because I unexpectedly fell and it has a great impact on my back. I wasn’t too quick to transfer my weight to the safest part of my body. “Stand up or the enemy will kill you!” Here she goes again making me imagine that I have enemies around me right now and when I complain again, she’d just scold me and tell me that if a time comes and the enemies will attack me, I wouldn’t survive if I just keep on complaining. She has a point but why would— Ugh! This is annoying! Why was I even a freaking wolf?! Fuck those blue flashing eyes in the forest! This is all its fault! “Come on, Celeste! Move now!” Natalia told me annoyingly. She actually doesn’t do anything but just watches me suffer from different kinds of pain. “Hey! I don’t just sit and watch! I’m also trying to learn!” she growled sassily. “You’re trying to learn? Why don’t you take over and learn for me? I bet you couldn’t even do a perfect stunt,” I teasingly said, forming a smirk on my lips. “Sure!” She competitively said. Before I could even say no, she took over my body and stood up like she wasn’t feeling my pain! I watched her do the stunt and she did it smoothly! I feel so offended now! It’s unfair! She already has a different kind of strength! “Great job!” my mother clapped. “See, now you’re going to be praised by your mother. You’re welcome, Celeste,” she sarcastically said which made me leer at her. But she’s right. Now, I will only have to rest ‘cause I have done the stunt. “Now, Celeste, it’s your turn,” my mom told us. “She recognized it was you?!” I said in disbelief. “She’d know if it’s you, dummy. She’s your mother!” Tali made me take over my body again. I was surprised that the pain in my back was already gone. “What did you do?” I asked her. “Wolf things?” she said, leaving me wondering. “Now, go, Celeste!” my mother commanded. I was about to do the stunt, a little doubtful. I fear that I’ll f**k it up this time again. “Breathe, Celeste. Believe,” Natalia suddenly told me. I close my eyes, took a deep breath, and did the stunt with confidence. When I opened my eyes again, I landed on the floor perfectly! I was screaming in joy! Mom clapped her hand, praising me for doing the stunt right. I was over the moon! I just couldn’t believe that I did it! I did the butterfly! You’re supposed to use your enemy’s body to be your wall and do a backflip to kick the other enemy that’s in front of the enemy that you used as a wall. That way, you both hurt them. You can also do butterfly when you’re on a dead-end but when it’s a cliff, you’ll do the stunt that I call The Take-Off. You’ll face your enemy and attack them like a plane that is about to take off. The goal is, to not let them get a chance to touch you so you’ll be able to do the butterfly without having a wall. It requires so many airtime moments and if you mess that stunt up, it would be a bad shot for you. Either you get lucky, or you die. I was enjoying the ice cream that my mother made me because I’ve done the stunt perfectly just like Natalia. Of course, I thanked her. If it wasn’t for her I would’ve done it wrong. “You’re welcome, girl. You got me!” she replied when I thanked her. It’s already night time and my mother and I are just sitting at the kitchen table, eating our ice cream. I remembered the flashing blue eyes that were staring at me again. It’s not a spirit guide. If it was, I could’ve done the stunt right and not lost balance. So... what could it be? “What’s on your mind? You seem bothered, lately?” my mom suddenly asked me. “What do you mean?” I asked her, a little confused about her question. “You have a very great potential of being someone stronger than me. It’s just that, something seems to bother you that’s why it’s hard for you to focus? What’s that?” She really is my mother. She notices everything. “Nothing, Mom,” I told her and continued eating. “Nothing has always something, Celeste. Come now. You can tell me everything.” She raised her brows, telling me to just spill the whole tea! “I have been seeing something, mom...” I hesitantly said. Her brows furrowed and her face changed into a worried look. “A boyfriend?” she asked. “No! Of course not!” I chuckled at her reaction. “What do you mean, then?” she asked, very curious. “Uh, eyes... mom. Blue flashing eyes that have been staring at me. It just appears and then vanishes.” I shrugged, thinking it was just me and maybe I was just dreaming. “How long has it been doing that?” she asked, looking very scared and worried. “Since the training started?” She didn’t speak after that. She got even scared she doesn’t know what to do now. What’s up with her? “Mom?” I tried to call her but she didn’t answer which kind of worried me. “What’s happening?” “Could it be the witches?”
