I listened to Sarah tell me all she wanted me to do. Finally, she had given in to the fact that she still loved and missed Jackson, despite the betrayals from him.
I felt pity for her, but I didn't let her know that. Letting her know I feel that way would only make her feel more sad.
“I will do that,” I replied after her long explanation.
Her lips widened and a faint, yet obvious smile appeared on her face. She seemed satisfied already.
“I need to work on my appearance,” I added. They would take me for a joke if I showed up like this and claimed something I am not. So whatever we need to do needs to be done well.
“But we don't have any here,” Sarah responded. I could only smirk, she was too impatient to think straight, I understand anyway.
