I closed my eyes and opened them again. I wanted to be sure I was fully awake and no longer trapped in a dream. But to my surprise, the figure in white still stood there. Maybe I hadn’t woken up on my own. Maybe she woke me.
Was it my mother again?
The thought lingered, but something about this felt… wrong. Beside her stood Alpha Dave, his presence unmistakable. My chest tightened. Why would Alpha Dave stand with my mother? Did they know each other? Could she possibly support what Alpha Dave was doing to me?
I tried to sit up from where I lay on the cold floor, but something pressed me down. My gaze dropped to find Alpha Dave’s legs pinning me in place. My heart sank. There was no way my mother would stand by and let this happen to me.
