“Remember that you are still under me, kindly obey my commands till I have let you go. Besides, I didn’t make this rule, and you are free not to come. I don’t want you to give Maya a wrong impression. However, do not ever disobey my orders next time.” Jackson conveyed to me.
I swallowed. I must have been too hard on him in front of everyone, as a matter of fact. I felt slightly bad about that.
“I would honor the invitation and see what Inkstone has for me,” I mumbled. I was too shy to look at him after making such a mistake.
“Do whatever suits you. I will leave by seven in the morning, if you do not catch up with me before then, look for your way around.” Jackson forewarned me.
I ate the remaining food in silence, and no one dared say or discuss a dime about what happened.
