sat in the backseat of the car, my eyes fixed on the passing scenery outside the window. The dense woods seemed to stretch on for miles, the tall trees reaching up towards the sky. The sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor. I couldn’t help but feel a senseturned to face the blonde girl again. She was fuming with anger, and I had no idea what she wanted from me or what I had done wrong. The girl blocking my way grabbed me from behind, and the second one quickly joined her. They both forced me down onto my knees. I struggled to free myself, wiggling and twisting my wrists, but their grip was too strong. The blonde girl regained her composure and charged towards me. She grabbed my hair and forced me to look at her. Sweat beaded on my forehead as I struggled to catch my breath. The pain was intense, consuming me completely. Fear and confusion raced through my mind. What was she doing to me? The pain was so overwhelming that I couldn’t think straight. I closed my eyes and focused on taking slow, deep breaths, trying to will the pain away. But then she screamed in my face. “DON’T YOU DARE ACT SMARTER WITH ME!” she yelled, twisting my hair and causing even more pain. Tears streamed down my face as I tried to hold back the sobs that shook my body. The pain was unbearable, the sadness overwhelming. “LEAVE ME ALONE! I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?” I screamed, trying to free myself. “Oh, you freak forgot what you did?” she sneered. “Let me remind you. ‘Oh Theo, I got a dare to kiss me. Would you kiss me? I’m begging you to kiss me.’” They all burst into laughter, the sound echoing in my ears. I stood there, frozen, as their words hit me like a ton of bricks. My mind went blank and my body felt numb. It was like a nightmare come to life. “No,” I whispered, shaking my head in disbelief. “This can’t be happening.” But even as I denied it, the truth stared me in the face. Shock gave way to a flood of emotions - fear, anger, sadness - washing over me and leaving me feeling overwhelmed and helpless. I didn’t know how to react or process what had just happened. All I could do was stand there, trying to make sense of it all. " How dare you could thought of Theo kissing ugly and fat girl like you? You were lucky that day I was late to come to the party but no today, you have to pay for making moves on my boyfriend." she sneered. I couldn’t believe it when I found out she was Theo’s girlfriend. She instructed one of the girls to hand her a pair of scissors from her backpack, and I felt a wave of fear wash over me. What was she planning to do with those scissors? As the girl handed her the scissors, she turned to me with a menacing look in her eyes. “Hey, what are you doing?” I asked, my voice shaking. “I’m going to make you even prettier,” she replied, a wicked smile spreading across her face. “Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you. This is just a little demonstration of what I’m capable of if you try to get any closer to Theo.” “Please don’t do this,” I begged, realizing what she was about to do. But it was too late. She grabbed a chunk of my hair and chopped it off with the scissors. “There you go,” she said, smirking. “Consider this a lesson not to make moves on someone else’s boyfriend. Come on, girls, we’re going to be late for class.” And with that, they released my arms and left me alone in the bathroom, staring in shock at the strands of hair scattered across the floor. Tears streamed down my face as I cried. A mix of sadness, anger, and frustration overwhelmed me. Crying felt like a release, a way to let go of all the pain and sadness that had been weighing me down. “I have a competition coming up,” I said through my tears. “What am I going to do now? You’ll pay for this. You’ll pay for what you’ve done.” I sank to my knees and gathered up the locks of hair, consumed by thoughts of revenge. But first and foremost, I needed to talk to Cara. I couldn’t become like her. It was too hard to pretend to be someone I wasn’t. I shoved everything into my backpack and wiped away my tears. As I caught sight of my reflection in the mirror, I reached up to touch my hair, now half its original length. Pulling a cap over my head, I made my way out of the bathroom, only to find Brooke standing in the hallway with a group of girls outside the bathroom. They must have heard everything.
