CHAPTER SEVEN 6 hours Earlier) [VIRR SCHOOL] {A Huge Classroom} The atmosphere was oppressive, heavy with anticipation. The teacher, Miss Scarlet, walked in with Kitty, her presence commanding attention. "Good morning, class," she greeted the students, her voice warm and authoritative. A handful of students chorused, "Good morning, Miss Scarlet," while the rest stared at Kitty with a mixture of curiosity and hostility, their faces etched with frowns. "Today, we have a new student joining us," Miss Scarlet announced, her eyes scanning the room. "Her name is Kitty. I expect you all to be welcoming and kind to her." The students murmured a half-hearted "Yes, ma'am" in unison. Miss Scarlet's gaze settled on Kitty. "Kitty, do you have anything you'd like to say to your new classmates?" Kitty turned to face the teacher, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Don't play nice with me," she said, her voice dripping with sass. With that, she sauntered to the back of the classroom, slipping into a seat between two boys who appeared to be a bit older than her. As soon as Miss Scarlet turned her back, one of the boys, Anthio, flashed Kitty a charming smile. "Hi, I'm Anthio," he said, his voice low and smooth. He slid his seat closer to hers, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. "So, you're Kitty, right?" he asked, his smile warm and inviting. "You heard what the teacher said," she smirked, her voice laced with a hint of mischief. "Okay, so since you're new here... you know, if you don't mind, I can show you around," Anthio offered. "I'll figure it out myself," Kitty replied swiftly, totally ignoring him. But before Anthio could respond, Carl her other seatmate, cut in."You heard her," he said, dragging his seat closer to her left side. "I'm Carl, my father is Duke, a close friend of your father's," Carl introduced himself, his eyes locked onto hers. before he could continue, Anthio interrupted, his voice with a hint of competitiveness. "My dad was also friends with your dad, they were in the same gang when they were young." Carl smirked at him "That was the past," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. Anthio's face flushed with anger. "You brat!" he gritted, his teeth clenched. She watched the exchange with interest, a sly smile spreading across her face. "So, I guess you both want to be my friend," she said, her voice playful and teasing. Anthio and Carl turned to face her, their eyes shining with excitement, their heads nodding in unison like an Agama lizard. "Yesss!" they chorused loudly, their voices echoing through the classroom. "Can you guys stop shouting like a bunch of fools?" Mira screamed out in jealousy, her voice piercing through the classroom. She had been watching the exchange between Kitty, Anthio, and Carl with growing resentment, her eyes blazing with anger. Kitty's gaze shifted to Mira, who was sitting in the middle of two girls who seemed to be her loyal followers. "She must be the class bully," She thought to herself, her mind racing with eagerness. "Why don't you shut up?" She taunted, clearly wanting to pick a fight. "You b***h! You said what?" Mira stood up from her seat, her fists clenched, her body tense with aggression. "How dare you speak to Mira that way?" the two girls chimed in unison, their arms folded across their chests. The door swung open, and the teacher walked in, interrupting the tense moment. "It's time for class," he announced. Mira sat back down, her face twisted in a scowl. 《🥣LUNCH BREAK🍜》 Kitty unwrapped her lunch pack, carefully prepared by her father. Her eyes widened with delight as she revealed the contents: sweet potatoes accompanied by scrambled eggs, a selection of fresh fruits, mostly grapes, and a water bottle filled with cola-flavored carbonated drink. A warm smile spread across her face as she savored the first bite of her potatoes. "Hi!" Anthio said, slipping into the seat beside her at the round table. He balanced a plate of mixed greens salad, topped with succulent oysters. "Hey!" Carl chimed in, taking the seat on her other side. He set down a tray laden with spicy dishes. They had different tastes. Kitty found herself sandwiched between the two boys again. Carl boasted, "You know, my father is richer than Anthio's father." Anthio smirked, "It's a difference of only a few million euros." "That's still a significant amount of money, bro. I bet it's equivalent to your entire net worth." Anthio's expression turned venomous. "At least I'm not weak like you, and I'm not stuck with obsessive Mira. Can you protect Kitty without your dad's help, jerk?" Carl shot back, "You know I'm stronger." Anthio sneered, "Want to bet? Let's do push-ups. Whoever stops last wins." Carl agreed, "Alright!" Anthio grinned, "Alright!" The two boys dropped to the ground, supporting their weight on their hands, and began doing push-ups. Kitty watched, plucking grapes from her lunch and popping them into her mouth. As they counted aloud, Carl collapsed to the ground lazily after five rounds. Anthio continued, completing eleven rounds in total. "Lazy ass," Anthio cursed, standing up and brushing himself off. He turned to Kitty, a triumphant smile spreading across his face. "So, who do you choose among us?" The bell rang, signaling the end of the break. "I'll catch you guys later, after classes are over," She said, excusing herself. After a few more classes, the final bell rang, dismissing everyone to their respective homes. As Kitty made her way to the stairs, intending to descend to the second floor, Mira and her two cohorts suddenly blocked her path. "You think you're so special, don't you?" Mira sneered. Kitty's instincts detect no sign of threat, her eyes locked on Mira's. "You want to fight? Bring it on!" Mira snarled, her voice low and menacing. Kitty smirked, unfazed. "You guys are too small for me to hit. You're still babies! Do yourself a favor and excuse me. I have people waiting for me downstairs." She attempted to pass, but Mira blocked her path, her hands on Kitty's shoulders. "You're going nowhere," She hissed. Kitty's expression turned icy. With a swift motion, she pushed Mira and her friends aside, creating an opening to descend the stairs. She disappeared from view. Mira's face twisted in rage. "You jerk!" she yelled, dashing after Kitty. However, in her haste, she misstepped and tumbled down the stairs. Her friends rushed to her side, in a panic mode "What do we do? No one will believe us if we tell the truth!" one of them exclaimed. The other friend's eyes narrowed. "We'll say Kitty pushed her down." "Kitty!!" Anthio and Carl waved enthusiastically, their faces breaking into wide smiles. Her face lit up with a warm smile as she hurried toward them. However, her path was suddenly blocked by a sleek black jeep, which obstructed the boys' view of her. The jeep reversed and sped away, leaving behind an empty space where she had stood just moments before. Anthio and Carl stared at each other, their eyes wide with astonishment and concern. "Was she kidn*pped?" they exclaimed in unison, alarmed. Unknown them, Grimm's bodyguards had been watching the scene from a distance, their eyes fixed on Kitty. Before they could react, the moment had passed, and Kitty was gone. The bodyguards exchanged knowing glances, They were certain that Brandon's men were behind the sudden a*******n. On the other hand, about an hour later, Grimm's phone buzzed with two incoming texts while he was preparing lunch in the kitchen. Mrs. Nam was taking a break, leaving Grimm alone with his thoughts. The first text was from Brandon, and Grim's heart sank as he read the ominous message: "How is your daughter? Is she with you over there? Or maybe not... she might be with me...?" His hand trembled as he held the phone, his mind racing with the implications. He knew exactly what Brandon's words meant. He checked the second text, which was from an unknown number. The message sent a chill down his spine: "Your daughter has stepped on a cobra's tail. You know what happens after that? Try your best to keep her safe." The text was signed with a single name: Amir. Grim's eyes widened as he whispered, "Amirrrr...?" His voice trailed off, lost in thought.
