CHAPTER NINE Kitty stepped into the house, Anthio's face lit up with joy. He sprinted towards her, his little legs moving swiftly. Sweeping her into a tight hug, he exclaimed, "I missed you!" Tears of happiness welled up in his eyes. Carl approached them, a bright smile on his face. He waited patiently for Anthio to release Kitty from the hug. "Hi," Carl said, his eyes filled with warmth. "I'm fine, friend," Kitty replied, her smile mirroring Carl's. Carl's grin broadened. "Friend? We're now friends?" he asked, his voice filled with excitement. Anthio's face fell, his lower lip jutting out in a pout. "What about me...?" he asked, his voice tinged with disappointment. Kitty's laughter filled the air as she pecked Anthio on the cheek. "You're my special buddy, Anthio!" she said, before darting away, leaving the two boys to chase after her. Anthio gently cradled his burning cheek, his eyes wide with wonder. "W...what does that mean?" he stammered, turning to Carl for clarification. Carl let out a mock scoff before responding, "It means she likes you more than just a friend." Anthio's eyes sparkled with delight. "Rea...llly?" he breathed, his face flushing with excitement. Out of playful jealousy, Carl hissed and stormed off, but deep down, he was happy for Anthio. Their friendship was a unique blend of love and hate, filled with banter and rivalry. ✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓√√√√✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓ [~ FINÁLÉ ~] (Years Later) "Sister Kitty, hurry up! Your friend and boyfriend are waiting for you..." Goldilocks, Brandon's seven-year-old kid, yelled up the stairs. "How many hours are you going to spend on your makeover? It's just your Freshman year night party, not your wedding!" "I'm done already!" Kitty called out, hurrying down the stairs. She looked breathtakingly beautiful, her heels sparkling under the light. Goldilocks' eyes widened in admiration. "You look amazing, sis!" she exclaimed. Kitty smiled warmly, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Thanks, peaches!" she replied, giving her little sister a gentle squeeze. "How many times have I told you... that's my dog's name!" Goldilocks frowned, her eyebrows furrowed in annoyance. Kitty chuckled. "I'm sorry. Diamond, right?" she guessed. Goldilocks threw up her hands in exasperation. "It's GOLDILOCKS, for heaven's sake!" Kitty shook her head, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. "Your dad is weird. Why on earth would he name you after the girl who ate the bears' porridge? The name is too darn long..." she teased. Goldilocks playfully rolled her eyes. "Then call me Gold, G-O-L-D," she spelled out. Kitty smiled, nodding in agreement. "Alright, Gold. I'll put that in mind." With a final smile, she turned to leave. "Bye, Daddy. Bye, Uncle," Kitty said, waving goodbye. "Bye, Mr. Brandon, and Mr. Grimm," Carl chimed in, flashing a charming smile and winking at Goldilocks. "Bye, Uncle. Bye, Sir," Anthio echoed, his eyes wide with respect. Grimm's expression turned serious. "Wait, Anthio! You know it's late. Keep my daughter safe." Anthio's eyes darted nervously to Kitty before responding, "O-okay...". As they prepared to leave again, Grimm added, "And..." "Don't try to impregnate my daughter. I'll kill you!" He exclaimed, his face stern, but a sly smile on his lips. Kitty's eyes widened in mortification. "Daaaaddd..." she drawled, her face flushing with embarrassment. "Okay, sir," Anthio replied, his smile masking the fear burning within him. Brandon chuckled, shaking his head. "Don't be so wicked to this young man, Grimm. He's twenty, and your daughter is eighteen. Do you want to hold her back forever?" With a mischievous grin, Brandon added, "And, my dear darling, don't forget to take your contraceptive pills." Her face turned beet red with embarrassment. "Dad, Uncle, I'm not planning to have s*x, and a kid is standing right here, for God's sake!" she yelled. Brandon turned to his daughter, a sly smile still plastered on his face. "She didn't hear us, did she, Goldilocks?" Goldilocks, however, had already picked up on the conversation. "I heard something like S—" Carl quickly clamped his hand over her mouth, silencing her. "Shh!" Kitty took advantage of the distraction to make a quick exit. "Okay, Dad, we're off!" she said, grabbing Anthio's hand and pulling him along. She hastened out of the house, dragging the two grown boys along with her. . . . The End....? Of course not! Kitty slipped into the school's female toilet to quickly relieve herself. After washing her hands, she made to exit, but her departure was halted by a familiar face. The door swung open, and a woman with a sly grin walked in, stopping right next to Kitty. "It's been about nine years now, Kitty. You've changed a lot. But... didn't you miss me, pal?" she asked, a smirk on her face. "Why don't we end the game we started?" The woman sauntered into one of the toilet stalls, leaving Kitty frozen in place. Her mind went blank for a moment, as if time had stood still. Then, a shiver ran down her spine, and her heart skipped a beat. Suddenly, the past came rushing back, and Kitty's eyes widened in shock... "M...Mira...?" She stuttered, her voice trembling with fear. "What game...?" she thought inwardly, but before she could process anything further, a searing pain shot through her head as someone struck her from behind with a stick. Everything went dark, her vision blurring as she crumpled to the ground. Suddenly, she felt Mira's grip on her legs, and before she knew it, She was been dragged into the toilet stall, the blood from her head wound trailing behind them. Everything was pitch black, memories flashing before her eyes. Was she dead?... But deep down, She knew this was only the beginning of another war. Four clans against one. Maybe Mira didn't realize that she, Kitty, was a death sentence. She had just walked into the lion's den. Even if she died, the war for her wouldn't be forgotten. THE END
