~Nathaniel The boardroom's atmosphere was charged with the hum of tension and anticipation. I sat at the head of the long oak table, watching the faces of my executives as they discussed the new proposal for the next quarter’s expansion. My mind, however, was far from the figures and charts being displayed on the screen. I forced myself to focus, interjecting when necessary to maintain the facade of attentiveness. “Mr. James, what are your thoughts on the revised projection for Q3?” one of the senior executives asked, his eyes searching mine for approval. “It’s solid,” I said, my voice steady. “But I want us to run a secondary risk assessment.
