Damian's face lit up, a twisted grin spreading. "You do love me, Amelia. Why won't you admit it? Come with me, and I'll let him go."
I glanced at Adrian, my eyes full of love for him. "Fine. But first, take the bombs off him."
Damian caught my look, and jealousy consumed him, his eyes blazing red. "Stop looking at him like that!" he roared. "I won't let you!"
To keep him calm, I forced my gaze away from Adrian. Once the bombs were removed, Damian stepped toward me, ready to drag me away. But then, enforcer sirens wailed, their megaphone blaring, "You're surrounded! Drop your weapons and surrender!"
