The next day, Fiero was having breakfast when Ivan came back from Stone Castle.
“How are things back there?” Fiero asked his cousin.
“Tough,”
Ivan answered as he sat down and grabbed a piece of bread from the basket. Then Millie served him a cup of steaming coffee.
“I need a little more than tough,” Fiero said.
Ivan held up his index finger and took a sip of his coffee. Once he’s done, he looks at Fiero.
“They are getting worried about the situation, especially when I mentioned what Edora said. They, too, have no idea what she was talking about, the ancient that is more ancient than the word ancient,” Ivan said.
Fiero sighed and leaned back.
“Did they give you any directive?” he asked.
“Observe and report, that same crap,”
