  Asher   Faint rays of the sun were glinting on the window and filtering in through the narrow slit in the window that was left open to let in some air.   The sounds of birds chirping outside created a serene ambiance. I groaned as the sunlight kissed my skin. I felt hot and weak. I opened my eyes and tried to adjust to the brightness, my eyelids felt heavy, and my head hurt everywhere.
