Chapter forty
Lucien POV
It all started with a random cough that my mother thought a sip of water would calm down and make it go away, then it expanded into something else that includes blood coming out of her nose, eyes, mouth and ear. Then the same started happening to my father and soon to everybody in the whole hall except for me and my mate mysteriously; she doesn’t seem affected at all. I didn’t touch my meal on the other hand.
When she became aware of what’s happening she stood up in amazement, wondering what’s going on with everyone.
It seems as if my mate is immune to the poison and out of my who to save list, it’s now up to who I wish to save between my mother and my father, this is a hard decision.
