The strong smell of incense and medication burns my nostrils as I slowly draw awake, memories of crushing pain filling my mind as the last thing I remember is being banged up from rock to rock after I fell into the creek due to the sudden wave of water that carried me around recklessly, and then pierced deeply below my ribcage by the pointed tip of a sharp-edged rock.
