“I thought your kind got rid of all of them in secret?” I ask, tilting my head in surprise over a load of new information.
She slowly shakes her head. “Not all of them, they could only harm those within the fae. Every other halfling that exists among other species we're left unharmed and protected by their kind and their laws.”
