"Yes Max! OUR dad! I assumed he never told you about it?" Issy said with a confident tone.
Max just stood there in shock. By the look of his face, anyone could tell that he was beyond disbelief about what he just heard from Issy. Yet, he eventually hides all the surprised feelings in his face and replies back to Issy's statement.
"Tell your mother that he's not here, and that too many women had asked him for responsibility after sleeping with them. He paid what was need to be paid. Fair enough, right?" Max said with a calm tone now. Knowing that Carson had slept with many women, Max thought that Issy was just creating a statement to get attention, AND half of his wealth by stating that she could be the result of his relationship with a woman he had no idea about.
