Hazel Point Of View 700 years later For the hundredth time this day, I felt the same fluttering of butterflies, deep in my stomach. It was not just because I was scared, but because of the fear I felt in facing the famed Raven King, a man known for his thirst for violence, war, and blood. "Honey, stop smoothing your skirt, it shows that you are scared," My mother honey soothing voice broke me from my thought. "I am scared," I replied. We stood on The Armageddon, the second largest ship in Coldborne, my kingdom, ruled by my father, Lord Eddard the third, a stocky man, with three sons, and me. He didn't love me; I am more of a...political chip. "Hazel, your brother requests you," Simon, my dark-haired, broad-shouldered bodyguard, said. "Which brother?" I asked, hoping it wouldn't be Prince Lucas. " Prince Lucas," Simon confirmed, as I cursed. Prince Lucas has been known for his foul temper, and it has worsened ever since we began traveling three weeks ago on the desert sea. I walked past sparring sailors, soldiers, holding their accustomed swords and spears. "There sister," My brother's voice called. As always, Lucas' mouth, is on a girls red lip. They are smooching hard, and I try to look away, resulting to a slap from Lucas. "Whenever I speak to you, you reply. Do you understand me?" He said, holding my hand sharply, and my skin was getting hot. "Yes brother, please, stop" I cried out. Lucas element was fire, and knowing I dont have an element, he uses every opportunity to make my life miserable. "I will stop, when I want to" He yells, and gives me a backhand. My father, had appointed his heir, Prince Lucas, to overtake my journey, and he has use every opportunity to ruin my life for that. "Yes brother," I say. "We wait for an hour until the Raven king comes. You will respect him, and bring us what we need. Is that understood, you slut?" He asks. "Yes brother" "Dont call me brother." "Yes, my prince" I am excited to leave Coldborne, because of the way my brothers treat me. Prince Lucas is the heir to the throne, followed by Prince Richard, my favorite brother. He had pleaded with my father, not to send me to the Raven King, but obviously, he hadn't listened. Prince Richard, is known for his fighting skills, and leadership roles, making him the most suitable to take the throne, but my father insists that he is weak, and not fit. Prince Pierce, the third, is the most ruthless, often hanging men, and beating w****s, just for the fun of it. My family, is so damn messed up. I walked to the cabin, where oils, barrels of water, fruits are kept. There is a small space there, and I sit there, taking the novel I had kept there earlier. I loved reading novels, especially the love life of Ash, and Nyxara. Romance novel, made me feel happy and I would find myself dreaming about myself, as one of the characters. I stayed there for about fifty-five minutes, reading a biography of Ash, as his master dies saving him. I got out of the cabin, the hot sun light, nearly blinding me for about five seconds. Sometimes, I wished I had powers, whether weak, or strong. My kingdom is the fourth strongest kingdom, after Eryndor, Ashingstar, and Darkmoor. "Princess, where have you been?" Simon asked. Simon knew about my ambition in reading, and he also know I have spent about fifty-minutes staying in a cabin, away from by brothers. "You know where I was" I said. "The Raven King is here," Simon said. The Raven King took the Kingdom of Darkmoor when he was just nineteen years old, and during that time, it was the weakest kingdom. When the Raven king took the crown, it became the strongest, because he expanded his kingdom by defeating the kings of Kadia, Larrington, Livivngstone, and Reddington. "Land ho!!" Sailors said, and the cry was carried out by others, "Shut up, you barbaric fools," Lucas said, and again, I remember how much I hate my brother. "Sister, come here," He ordered, and I walked to him. He bent his lips, low to my ear, and murmured. "Be a good little girl, and don't mess this up," I whimpered, and said a quick okay. Part of the reason I am to wed this Raven king is because Coldborne is in a war with Eryndow, and if I marry the King, the Raven King will help Coldborne with the war, and everyone knows what happens when the Raven King fights a war. "Brother...My prince, I don't want to marry this man," I said. "Good for you, he isn't a man, he is a monster," Lucas said, closing the topic. "Mathew, go get me a bottle of wine," My brother ordered, as Mathew, a short, muscular man, from the house of lions. He got into service to my Father, after capturing a group of outlaws. He is cunning and clever, and his element is ice. We walked to the plank, me, Lucas with a bottle of wine, Simon, Mathew, and Peace, the advisor to the king. The plank is connected to a large ship, larger, five times than the largest ship in Coldborne, and on it are men, in boiled leather armor. Their long sword, strapped at their back is visible from where I stood. In truth, I was afraid of meeting my husband to be, and I wondered if I would survive one month there. Richard had told me to write to him if my husband is abusive, and although I knew Richard didn't stand a chance against him, I am happy that someone at least cares for me. We walked for some time, and I heard a bold, honey-soothing voice. "Where is my wife to be?"
