The Cursed Prime.

HATRED AND REGRET

After the ceremony was over, the head maid took the new queen to her new room, she was assigned two maid servants. They came in to help her take off the royal dress and a warm bath, Lohith had sent for new set of clothings for her the previous day. She is queen now, and needed to start dressing the part. As reagan sat in front of the mirror in her night dress, she couldn't help but wonder if she had made a mistake.

The door opened and Lohith walked in, he didn't even spare her a glance as he walked pass her. He took off his royal garment and went to take a shower. Reagan took a deep breath, stood up and went to lie down on the bed, her mind pondered on what would happen next. She needed to come up with a perfect excuse to escape the consummation. Lohith walked out of the bathroom minutes later, she had her back to him as her heart pounded hard in her chest.

"Ease up wife, i have no intention of touching you while you carry another man's child." he said in a cold tone.

Reagan sat up and faced him, "What nonsense are you saying now?"

"Watch your tongue woman." Lohith warned, "You want to sit there and act like you don't know?"

"I actually don't know what you're talking about." Reagan frowned, lohith stared at her seriously and discovered she didn't know about her condition.

"You're pregnant esper, all you had to do was stay pure for your mate, for me."

"I told you i don't believe in mates because they don't exist!" she yelled, lohith clenched his fists as anger flashed in his eyes. Reagan felt it and it made her uncomfortable, but she couldn't look away, for fear that he might jump on her.

"Then what are you doing here in ravaryn, in kaneria, in my castle and on my bed?" lohith's eyes flashed again as he slowly approached the bed. "Why did i feel your essence the moment you came into this castle? why did i feel connected to a w***e like you?" he said through his clenched teeth, reagan would have responded if his features hadn't started to change. His skin had turned green with black spots, his hands had claws, his eyes had turned red and he was so close to her. "Despite being with child, i couldn't reject you, because i have waited hundreds of years for you, i have longed for you and....you sit there... and say that i don't exist?!" he growled as he pinned her down.

Reagan was speechless, her heart pounded faster than usual, she was scared to death, she felt his hatred for her and it terrified her. Her fear added to his frustration, he growled loudly before releasing her and jumping out through the window. Reagan instinctively ran towards the window and saw him jumping down the wall, when he got to the ground, he looked at her one more time before running away into the forest. This was the first time reagan got to see the full extent of the compound, but she couldn't enjoy the view with the current situation.

Taking a cloak, she dashed out of the room and ran out of the main castle towards lohana's mansion. She knocked impatiently and the butler opened the doors,

"My Queen." the butler called in surprise. Reagan rushed in, she went to her sister's room who was about to get into bed.

"Layla."

"Reagan? Shouldn't you be with the prime?" she said and wriggled her eyebrows, but when she saw the fright in her sister's face, she frowned. Reagan had never been frightened before, "What happened?"

Reagan who was pacing back and forth said, "I think i've made a huge mistake Layla."

"How? Why?"

"I might be pregnant, he says i'm pregnant. He also said i am his mate, he said a lot of things Layla." Reagan panicked

Layla didn't look surprised about the pregnancy part but the mate part got her eyes wide like an owl. A knock on the door interrupted whatever reagan wanted to say next, "Please come in princess." Layla said

"What are you doing here reagan? Lohith isn't going to like this." Lohana said

"He's not in the castle."

"What do you mean?"

Reagan sighed, "We had an argument and he got angry and jumped out of the window." she explained

"He ran into the forest, didn't he?" And reagan nodded.

"There's a forest here?" Layla asked, Lohana and Reagan glanced at her, was that supposed to be her concern right now?

"Princess hana, is there a possibility that i might be pregnant and not know it?" Reagan asked.

The question took Lohana unaware. "Are you pregnant?" she asked, looking at reagan's tummy.

"I don't know, but he does."

Lohana placed her hand on reagan's tummy and closed her eyes, she listened and heard a little but faint heartbeat. She gasped, "You are indeed pregnant, and the baby is weak, you haven't been eating?"

Reagan was shocked, how could she not have known and how long gone was she? She held her tummy and sat down on Layla's bed. Her sister said; "I'm so sorry Rea, i was only trying to protect you." Layla said

Reagan turned to look at her, "You knew?" she asked, "You knew about this and you concealed it?"

"I told you back in america, we went to the hospital for a test and confirmed it."

"You compelled me to forget about it."

"You wanted to get rid of it but the doctor said it was dangerous, that you could die."

"So what?! We hadn't come here then, it could have been fixed, i could have....."

"Reagan!" Layla yelled, reagan walked out. Layla followed, "I'm sorry."

"What good would that do now, huh? The prime called me a w***e, i have another man's child. That's why he's pissed, he feels betrayed by his 'mate'." Reagan said
