I don't know what exactly made me hesitate, because I wanted her, and I wanted her so f*****g badly.
I wanted her more than I wanted my next breath. That's how bad I wanted her. That's how bad I wanted into her....inside her.
I think it was her eyes. It was the way she looked at me. There was trust there....pure, unguarded trust and something else I didn’t want to acknowledge. Something that pinned me to the spot harder than her body ever could.
What struck me most was the innocence I saw in there. Hazel was so innocent... I wasn't used to dealing with that.
