Chapter Twenty Four
I came around, into darkness. I could feel that I was blindfolded by something and I was laying down on a soft surface, possibly a mattress. It didn’t take long to realize that my arms and legs were each bound forcing me into a spread-eagled position but with enough give to rest my arms and have my knees almost together. I think I was in underwear, but it seemed not much more.
I could have just lost my mind, screamed for my life. I had just taken so many turns into the unknown lately that a few deep soul-searching breaths calmed the horror stirred by my waking.
I was placed here with purpose, all I could do was wait for the opportunity to rescue myself.
