Chapter 41
Rose's POV.
When I woke I was tied to a bed, the room was dark with a single cupboard and a door on the far end, and another door. I pulled against the chain that held me to the bedpost. After struggling for almost two hours the door on the far end of the room opened.
I scurried to the bedpost getting as far from one door as possible.
It was Lucas, with food.
He stared at me for a few seconds before I started crying. At first it was a few tears, but then I was flat out sobbing. Lucas placed the food down on the table beside the bed.
" Eli, Why are you crying?" he asked, wrapping his arms around me.
I just wanted to go home. To Zachariah.
Before I realized what I was doing I began to say Zach's name in between my sobs.
