Chapter 48
Rose's POV.
"Zachariah, didn't the nurse say twins?" I ask in confusion. He stiffens and brings his hands to his face not moving, even after 10 minutes past.
"Zach, where the other baby?" I ask again. My voice shaky as I imagine the worst-case. Zachariah looks up from his hands, his eyes are red with tears and there are even some tears running down his cheeks. He doesn't have to say anything anymore. The nurse take my baby from me while I bring my knees to my chest, burying my face in my hands. I shake my head sobbing uncontrollably, from the unbearable heartache I feel in my chest. My baby.
"Girl or boy?" I ask with tears running from eyes every 2 seconds.
"Girl," the nurse whispered sadly.
I take deep breathes trying to get rid of the painful feeling in my throat and ear
