Zachariah POV
I silently groan to myself as I see the time. I had woken up before the alarm, again, rolling out of bed, I take a quick shower before checking the time again, it was only 6am and I had another hour before my day truly started.
I got dressed in tracksuit pants and a t-shirt before walking downstairs and out the door. The streets of Italy were relatively quiet this morning as I drove down the road leading away from my villa. My assistant would only be arriving at 7:30, so I decided to go down to the bakery a few kilometres away from mansion by myself.
As I reached the bakery doors I saw there were people waiting outside already, the bakery hadn't opened yet, irritation bubbled around me as I sat down on the bench a few feet away from the bakery, waiting for it to open.
After almost 15 minutes a woman unlocked the bakery, she had brown hair with blonde streaks here and there, she had bright blue eyes with bits of green and gold and cute face with adorable dimples on either cheek, she was wearing a strappy navy dress that was tight on the top and flowed out at the bottom with a white long sleeve turtle neck under it. She was really hot, but I wouldn’t f**k her. She seemed too much of a good girl.
I stared at her a little longer than intended as people came and went one by one. I realized some people were staring at me while I was zoned out. Snapping out of my daze I walk into the bakery, where the delicious smells of baked goods hit my nose. I was really hungry.
There were a lot of people eating in and even more taking to go orders. I sat down at the table in the corner watching as people took their orders and waited.
The girl kept walking up and down, taking her heels off so she could walk faster. She already baked most of the stuff but she was also making milkshakes, coffee and waffles.
I sat staring at her for a long time, beside myself I was intrigued by her constant smile and cheerful aura. She came to my table and I ordered a cheese cake with black coffee. She quickly scribbled it down, not giving me a second glance.
My jaw ticked in annoyance as she moved into the kitchen. There were only 5 people here excluding myself and the Little Muffin, she quickly delivered everyone's orders and gave mine last.
"Anything else I can do for you sir?" she asked flashing me her dimples with her smile. Her voice was smooth and pleasant to listen to, and I almost smirked at her.
"No I'm fine", I replied keeping my face cold and hard.
She pouted at my expression. "Why so cold, a smile could make my day." she said cheerfully, overly cheerfully. That immediately annoyed me.
It was irritating how she never stopped smiling. She smiled at everyone, and they always smiled back at her, but I want to steal her smile and keep it for myself. I wished she would just stop smiling, even for a second.
"And why would I want to make your day?" I scoffed. I preferred looking at her from actually talking to her. Her smile dropped for a few seconds and she looked hurt, but she quickly smiled again. Damn it.
"Oh. Okay. I'm sorry to have disturbed you", she said seeming disappointed or upset, I couldn’t tell. She turned around and walked away.
I felt bad afterwards but ignored it.
I, Zachariah Gabriel, didn't care about anyone, especially not some bakery girl.
