"Florence please tell me you've ticked all the boxes required to ensure that this anniversary celebration does not go south" Otis inquired eagerly.
"Yes I have, we have every box ticked as Luna Caroline instructed." Florence confirmed.
The Alpha never missed an opportunity to brag about Luna Caroline's beauty. His friends had journeyed from afar to celebrate with him, each with their mate except for John who had clearly refused to "be distracted by the responsibilities that accompany tolerating a mate" in his words.
"And there comes my Luna!" Alpha Denparlio announced.
"Isn't she just beautiful! She's got the fairest skin in the entire region, no offense to y'all" he teased.
"None taken!" John shouted which incited a brief giggles.
Alpha Denparlio continued: "Her aura accompanies her into every room she graces, like right now. Caroline is the best thing the moon-goddess ever did for me, if I had to choose. I would choose her over and over again. Please welcome my moon jewel.
Everyone applauded as the Luna approached the table blushing uncontrollably.
Nine inches above the ground was the most intimidating shoes the guests have ever seen. She swirled her long silky ginger hair from side to side as her hips swinged with poise. The scent of her spices clouded the room rendering the he-wolves utterly dazzled and hypnotised.
Almost every she-wolf gasped in unison. Each whispering into the ears of the other.
"Indeed, the Luna is the truest and purest representation of real feminity, charisma, and elegance. Look at that..." Evelyn whispered to Nova.
"You d*mn right." Nova affirmed with a half smile. " She's a jewel indeed. The moon Goddess did us well.
"Wow, I love how she maneuvers them nine inched shoes!" Mark excitedly whispered behind the ladies. "You can say that again", Florence confirmed. "She IS the outfit. Aura-second-to-none!"
"d*mn right, girl?"
"All rise?" Aden announced.
"Please welcome our esteemed Luna, Caroline..." Applauses filled the hall and cheers erupted.
Alpha Denparlio gave her a hand as she stood up from the table and climbed up the stairs to the stage.
"Thank you, thank you so much. It's so good to be home".
She elegantly cleared her throat before she proceeded with her welcome speech.
"I welcome you all to the twentieth anniversary of the Fortress Cave Wolf Pack.
Over the centuries we've thrived, and for two decades now we have opened our doors wide. Our house has served and has been widely recognized as a refuge indeed to young wolves who seek purpose, rouges who have been rejected and literally every wolf who is committed to connecting to something greater than themselves. "
She paused, then continued.
"Thank you to all our friends and allies for honoring our invitation. We are so pleased that you chose to celebrate today with us, this means so much.
To the newbies of Fortress Cave, especially those who are yet to officially meet with me, my name is Caroline. Mother of this pack and fated mate of our esteemed Alpha. It is my pleasure to invite you to embrace this family wholly. You'll never walk alone from now henceforth. We will be there every step of the way, to hold your hand when you feel afraid, to celebrate your little wins with you. As usual, I will only be around for a short while, but the royal chambers will open to you for the next three days, you are welcome to show up to say hello to me, to hang out, and of course help me know you better.

And to Eliana, she paused and took deep breaths..."
A sudden awkwardness errupted among the moon-walkers and generals. The pause was so long that the guests started to wonder.
Eliana immediately panicked because she thought to herself "how could the Luna have already found out if she only arrived yesterday and if anyone here is sworn to secrecy?"
