My eyeshadow was a dark gray, and she’d painted my lips a medium pink. My pink hair had been curled into loose waves that hit my shoulders. She’d done amazing, and the look was exactly what I’d been going for. “Thanks.” I stood and ran my hands down my lacy black dress. The dress hugged my body and flared slightly past my waist. If my dad could see me, he’d give me a nod of approval. I never got more than that. No praise or anything, just a nod indicating he wouldn’t nag me—yet. “You look gorgeous.” Roxy placed the brush back on the nightstand. “Where are you two going?” “No clue.” He lived in the dorms too, so I didn’t have to worry about going back to his place alone. Worse case, I could link with Roxy and get her ass there to save me. “I’m sure it’ll be pretentious just like him.” R
