Chapter 10

1024 Words
I woke up on the floor. I went to sleep on the sofa, I'm sure. I sat up and my back started cracking, nice. Soda was asleep on the sofa, the little brat took my spot! Everyone was still asleep - but not for long. I took the pillow of the floor and walked over to Soda. I whacked him on the head with the pillow and he shot up. "Geez Asha! What was that for!" He tried to yell. "For stealing my spot. Hah!" I said. Then I walked through to the kitchen and turned the radio on full blast. Slowly people started waking up to the noise. Apart from Two-bit. I turned the radio down and filled the washing up bowl with icy cold water. It was really heavy but I managed to carry it to the living room. When I got to Two I tipped it around and the water landed on his face. "What the!?" He yelled whilst standing up. "That's freezing, Asha!" I was pissing myself. "Sorry." I gasped. "I'm going in the shower to warm up." He said to the gang. As he walked past me he hit me on the arm, quite hard. I knew I deserved it though, however I could help but laugh even harder. I sat down next to Soda. "Aren't we meeting your girls later?" "Yah. She isn't my girl yet though I haven't actually asked her." Soda replied. "What! You have to ask her!" I screamed. "Okay. Okay. I'll do it later." He said putting his hands up in the surrender position. "You better." I shot back. Then we both started laughing. I know Soda would ask Elizabeth - I think that's the one. "So have you guys asked Payton and Angelina to be your girls?" I asked Johnny and Two-bit, Two had a really quick shower. Johnny shook his head and Two-bit said, "I have actually. She said yes." "Nice. You can't gag if any of us make out with someone now." "I know. It's just you and Dallas though." He pulled a funny face as if to say 'Ew.' "What's wrong with who and Dallas?" Dally said emerging from the kitchen. "You and Asha." Two shot back. I don't think he liked Dally that much after what I told him. "Well she's not my girl anymore, I don't think anyway." I never was his girl. He never asked me. We just made out a fair bit. "Dal, I never was your girl. You never asked me." I shouldn't have said that because me not being his girl means I shouldn't have flipped out over him kissing Iona. Oh. "Wait. So, you mean that when I kissed Iona we weren't a thing?" "Well, not exactly." I mumbled under my breath. "So I shouldn't have to apologise?" He shot at me. Oh yay! If we get into an argument over this then. I don't even know what. "I'm sorry Dal. It's just I loved, well I still do so, I love you and you kissing Iona hurt me! You dig?" "I love you too, Asha! I didn't mean to kiss Iona back! It's just one of those things that happens! You know what I'm like! You can't love me without loving that too!" He was stood right in front of me now. "I'm sorry Dal. I really am and I know I have to love all that too, but you hurt me. You have to get that! We were on a date! That isn't a place you can go kiss any girl you want." He didn't reply to that. He kissed me. Better than any kiss we'd had before, especially because I couldn't hear Two-bit gagging. We were interrupted by Ponyboy. "Guys. I've just spoken to Emmalie, she says she'll come tonight. I'm taking her to the dingo at 4 though, so we'll be here around 6 maybe?" "Awe. Ask her to be your girl then? Soda and Johnny are doing it later." I told him in a really high pitched voice. He nodded and walked upstairs. As soon as he disappeared Darry came down the stairs. "Hey Superman. Where were you last night?" "Late shift. Oh and I've got a girl I'd like y'all to meet," like seriously how many girls? "She's called Jordan and she's 20 as well. Just a heads up." "Really?! That's great! Pony, Soda, Two and Johnny are bringing girls for us to meet too and Steve for you to meet." Wait does that mean everyone's dating, apart from maybe me and Dal? That's a real change. "Oh okay then. Well I'm picking her up at 5 so y'all see her then." "Right I better go get ready. See y'all at 4.30." I smiled excitedly as I walked to the door. As I as about to shut it Dally said, "Wait up, Asha. I want a word." I left the door open and sat down on the patio steps. "Yeah what?" I said, as Dally sat next to me. "I just want to say I'm sorry for hurting you, you know I never think. And I was wondering if I could have a second chance?" "Okay fine. I forgive you." My voice sounded bored. I just wanted to go home, honestly. "So, will you be my girl?" He pulled out a necklace from his pocket. It was gorgeous it had a dark emerald love heart as the charm and it was a silver chain. "I was going to ask you when we went on our date but it got ruined." He put it around my neck. I was lost for words. I didn't know what to say. He was lighting a 'cancer stick' by the time I could say anything. "Yes! Fine. It's gorgeous Dal! And please put it out, you know what I think about smokers." "Fine." He said reluctantly and put out the cigarette. "Bye, see you at 4.30." He kissed me, stood up and walked through the door. I tried to stand but my legs wouldn't let me. I was all giddy. I love Dallas Winston. I just hope he won't hurt me again.
