Chapter 1

Freya's pov// My eyes widened as I saw someone walk into the crowd, as I gasped. "Is there something wrong, Freya?" The lady next to me worriedly asked when she noticed my reaction. "No, Your Highness, there's nothing wrong.. I'm just feeling a little ill," I took a deep breath. "I'm just feeling a little under the weather." I pretended to smile ~~~~~ I walked rapidly, untying my hair and clicking my heels as I gasped for air. I carefully closed the door and removed my heels. I was perched atop a railing. I'm fortunate that my room is on the third story, but I can't guarantee that I won't die. A female once fell from a peak higher than a three-story structure, but I'm not sure what the precise height was. With a shattered leg, one broken shoulder, and a damaged back, she made it through. I sighed as the breeze blew across my hair and clothing. I'm not ready for death just yet... Tears streamed down my cheeks. This isn't my place in the world... I don't want to die; dying was terrifying. Even more, tears welled up in my eyes. I cried more every time I wiped away my tears. I recall seeing her face in a novel, despite my hazy memory. After calming down, I stepped down from the railing. So... I'll go make a plan... "Huh?" I investigated the source of the noise, which turned out to be my room. The next thing I knew, I was falling through the air. On the spot where I was just, I noticed a figure. What brought you here? What brings you here? Was I even meant to exist in this world? I closed my eyes and accepted my fate. I made direct eye contact with someone. The person turned around as soon as he heard footsteps and fled away as fast as possible. My head slammed onto the ground. My vision became increasingly hazy. As soon as the maids discovered my body resting on the ground, they screamed while I closed my eyes. My head hurts after I awoke from the shock. I carefully touched my head, and after a few seconds, I remembered falling from a good height. It didn't make much sense to me; thus I don't think it was a dream. Was I able to recover on my feet after the fall? I have a better chance to survive; after all, a three-story structure isn't that big... In my room, a large number of people rushed in a hurry, and the blur was gone after a few seconds. "M'lady, is there anything wrong?" one of the people said. She was dressed as a maid. I'm pretty sure this has happened previously... Is this anything deja vu? People, I've heard people experience dreams in their dreams. Maybe that was a dream that foreshadowed my future... "My... lady?" The same maid asked Yes, that's correct. They've found their way in. "I'm fine, thank you," I said as I looked at them before answering her question. . My new mother, the one stepping out of the carriage. I smiled gently and warmly The one walking out of the carriage is my new mother. As she stepped out, I smiled softly and gracefully bowed. She patted my head and smiled gently and warmly while her eyes were closed, saying, "I'm back." As she patted me on the back, I got chills. I can't seem to get used to an older woman's childish behavior; should I trust her? Is she merely acting this way to look perfect in front of others? Look out of the window as I ride in the carriage. Even if I'm not looking at her, I can feel her staring at me— the same goes for everyone else at the party. "Freya," she said as the enormous doors swung open. We're... We're already here? I didn't realize how long I had been zoning out. As I worried, I immediately grabbed her hand. "Today is your day, you've come a long way," she said, smiling and averting my gaze. I'm not used to such generosity... Well; not anymore, I said without knowing what I meant by that However, I am not a person in this world. Never has been, and never will be... I saw her again while I sat on the throne next to mother. Let's get this party started. "Mother, May I be excused?" I asked, waiting for her response impatiently "Okay right, you're free to leave." She agreed to my request I dashed over to the girl with brown hair and blue eyes I had seen before. Except for our hair, we looked precisely alike. "Hello, may I ask your name?" I inquired as I lightly tapped her shoulder. Luna is her name, which I already know. I have no idea how I replaced the original female lead of this novel with a different name and face, but I shall learn everything there is to know about this universe. Luna Flore Everett Alvis, It's good to see a character I've always wanted to be, but never in the way I expected, I smirked and I extended a handshake to her. "My name is Luna Flore Everette Alvis, Your royal highness, Crown Princess of Valeries" I let go of her hand and said, "I'd like to invite you to the palace next time." It wasn't an offer, but a request. The novel's sharpest character; She's the one I'm looking for. I let go of her hand and said, "I'd like to invite you to the palace next time." It wasn't an offer, but a request. I also require the novel's brightest character. "My apologies, M'lady, but... I decline," she said as she bowed and walked away without saying anything else. A large group of individuals approached me and began speaking in unison, using different words with the same meaning. I had a feeling something was going to happen. "Your Highness, I am the Baron's daughter-" "Your Highness, I happened to hear your conversation with the Duke's daughter" I didn't spot Luna after we talked for a few minutes as there were so many people surrounding me. biting my nails and can't seem to hear anything. I began to be anxious about what I can only do later. My heart was thumping from inside me. When a servant approached to offer me sparkling wine off a tray, I accepted it. Breathing in, I snapped back to reality. Removed my finger from my face. Freya, take a deep breath and relax. I reminded myself, 'You'll be okay; nothing will change if you panic.' As I was frightened deep down. I approached my mother, biting the insides of my cheek. While going through the halls earlier at home, I came across an artwork of my mother holding a skull, Standing up on a skull hill. I'm guessing she knows about using a sword. Mother will protect me if I can stay with her all night. "I am back, your Majesty," I say, lowering my knees and bowing my head as I rise my gown past the waist. "Sit down," she said, and I did as she instructed. My mother, Her Majesty, noticed me sighing. "Is anything wrong, my daughter?" she questioned, oblivious to the fact that I had sighed. "No, not at all; please accept my apologies for causing you concerns." I shake my head and made an X with my arms. "You're lying, aren't you?" she asked, laughing as she sipped her wine. Huh? "You... noticed?" I asked, surprised. "Pfft, Of course. Have you forgotten perhaps?" she laughed, her hand covering her mouth. "You're my daughter," she added proudly, reminding me that I'm not her genuine daughter and that I only have to act like one until we die, "Yeah, Mother truly knows me best," I pretended to smile. After that, there was silence, which I broke with "Mother, may I ask for a favor?" My mother looked in my direction "Go ahead, it's your birthday after all," she responded, her interest piqued by my question. "I want to spend all night with my mother," I lied but if it meant survival, I'd rather hang out with someone. I don't remember a lot from my past life about my family and friends but being alone here even if it's just for a while, felt peaceful My mother averted her gaze and stared at the ground. "If it's for my child" she said with a smile on her face. Her mouth wasn't smiling, but her eyes were. Once again, I believe the eyes deceive us. "Thank you, Mother," I said, smiling from the warmth she gave me. It's lovely to have someone's kindness, but it's also risky... Freya's Mother// For once, she made a request... Freya would never directly ask me anything; instead, she would go to the servants. Freya probably didn't like me because I can't to spend any time with her "Mother, may I ask for a favor?" she inquired honestly, Freya's father would be happy, I hope you'll pardon me for treating Freya as if she were nothing; I only realized it yesterday. Riding the carriage with Freya after the celebration. "Mother, can you teach me swordsmanship?" she asked out of the blue as she sat in front of me. "I never learned swordsmanship, Darling" I joked, and she was taken by surprise. "Ahaha" I chuckled, "I was only joking," I clarified. I asked, "Why do you want to learn swordsmanship?" She had no purpose to learn swordsmanship. "..." she got quieter after a few seconds of silence, "I want to be like mother," she mumbled as she embarrassed and averted my gaze. "Ah, yes," I coughed, trying not to smile, but I could see she noticed. Maybe having a daughter is enjoyable after all, I thought as I shifted my gaze away from the carriage window. Freya seemed to have grown up. I'm glad.
