013: Eleanor 2.0

1016 Words
JEREMY'S POV I watched as they all hurried towards her, mom reached for her before she could fall to her knees and dad held her trembling hands like she was a new born pup. "I'm so sorry," he said to her in a soft voice, "I didn't mean to scare you. Come, let's take you inside." Her eyes lingered on me as she wheezed, trying to catch her breath. Tears trailed down her cheeks where she stood and she let herself be carried away by my mom and dad. Jace stood with them too until they were out of the training ground before he finally remembered he had a brother who was on the ground. Jaxon stood between us, lost between who he should attend to. All of them immediately attending to a stranger like i was not the one that was about to get killed. How could she have just walked into our lives hours ago and she was already stealing all the love and attention from everyone? Jace walked over towards me and reached under my armpit to help me to my feet but I jacked him away and managed to get up on my own. He sighed softly, almost like he was containing his frustration. "Listen, Jeremy, I don't know what is going on in your head right now but I want you to know that dad actually doesn't hate you and he is just trying to help you see that--" "Eleanor has been replaced by a stranger?" I cut him off, my brow arched. His eyes squinted with confusion. "What?" "Are you going to pretend like you didn't see what just happened? Eleanor used to have panic attacks like that too and that is exactly how mum and dad treated her. "That stranger is also staying in Eleanor's room now and she will probably start putting on Eleanor's clothes. She'll go shopping with mum, she'll spend time with Dad learning how to sling an arrow, she'll do everything Eleanor used to do with them because they already see her as Eleanor 2.0." I paused, the vivid memory of what I had always wished to forget flushing back into my head and then it came out of my mouth before I even realized it. "And you'll start sleeping with her too like you did with Eleanor--" He suddenly came at me and grabbed me by the collar, anger burnt in his light grey eyes as he glared at me. "You watch your mouth or I'll watch it for you." "Didn't you sleep with her?" I asked, not afraid by his actions. He scoffed a laugh and let his tongue lick his lower lip. "And so what if I did? Huh? Did you want to sleep with her too? Are you mad because she turned you down?" "Shut the f**k up!" I shoved him backwards in anger. He smirked, knowing his words had hit me in the right place. It made me even more angry to see a satisfied smirk on his face. "Eleanor was not supposed to do things like that with us, i loved her but not the way you think. She was a sister to me--" "Because you wanted her to be. Well I wanted her to be someone i could have s*x with and she was okay with it too so I don't understand why you keep butting your nose into something you don't even understand." He spat out before turning around to walk away. He suddenly stopped and turned back to face me. "You know dad is right," he said, anger still evident on his face, "you need to stop with this victim mentality bullshit. You're not the only one who lost her and if you are ever going to lead by my side as alpha then you need to grow up." He turned around and started for the exit. "Jaxon, come on. Let's leave him alone." Jaxon was still frozen still and he didn't move until Jace barked his name a second time. They both walked out of the training ground, leaving me alone with my thoughts. I could feel my pain washing away as Elliot immediately began to heal me but emotional wounds didn't heal that way. I didn't know how to react, I hated it whenever the fact that he was sleeping with Eleanor came up but I was always the one who brought it up. I just couldn't forgive him for what he did. Not once, not twice, not even five times. It was a usual thing for him. Whenever he needed to satisfy his s****l urges, he went to her, not caring whether she was happy or sad. I never loved her in that sense, I had never dreamt for once to see her naked. She was an older sister to me. Seven years age difference was no joke to me. But apparently it didn't matter to Jace. Finally, relief took over. I was strong enough to move around without feeling any pain apart from my aching heart. I walked out of the training ground and-- in the living room, they all crowded around her, just to make sure she was okay. The stranger in our midst. Her eyes shot up at me the moment I walked in, big blue pearl glowing and pleading. It made me sick. The fact that she shared the same eye color as Eleanor made it worse for me to handle. Mum looked up at me, a hint of guilt burning in her eyes knowing well what was going through my mind but I just couldn't bring myself to blame her. She was always nice to people, it was her nature. Thankfully she knew how to be mean when she needed to be. Dad on the other hand didn't even spare me a glance, instead, he turned ele-- I meant the stranger's attention back to himself and asked her in the sweetest voice if she needed anything. She shook her head, glancing at me momentarily. I turned and walked upstairs and went to my room. I needed a drink.
