ALMA'S POV
After I lost my parents, life felt like s**t. I couldn't survive on my own anymore, I needed sedatives to survive. To dull out my senses and make me act like I had my emotions under control.
I remembered clearly how shitty my life became because I needed those drugs to live. But then Ralph and Bella somehow managed to pull me back to my senses and help me get through the hard times.
Now that they were the reason for my anxiety, how was i supposed to survive? Now that i had taken another sedative dosage after such a long time, when would I be able to stop?
Ida was silent, she didn't want to interfere. The voice I had heard was not hers but mine, I was in conflict with myself--
I gasped, flinching as a sudden bang at the door pulled me back to reality.
"What the hell is going on in there? You're not supposed to lock the door except you're the freaking janitor!" A female voice yelled out as she continued to bang the door.
"Who the hell is in there?!" She growled, obviously irritated by my silence.
I immediately picked up by bag and hurriedly packed my things back into it. After cross checking to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything, I wiped my face of my tears and tried to make myself as composed as I could be before finally opening the door.
Her hand was curled in a fist, ready to land another heavy bang on the door. Her large brown eyes took me in, then she hissed and shoved me aside. "Freak..." She muttered, though not beyond my ear shot.
But i paid no attention to her and simply hurried to class. I was actually going to be late.
I could hear the murmurs of the students and feel their gazes on me but it didn't bother me anymore. At least that was what I told myself.
Arriving in class, I pulled out my chair and sat. Then their voices grew louder.
"Poor thing, I wonder how she must be feeling with all that happened."
"Yeah, when you think about it, her life is filled with miseries. First, her parents died, then her mate rejects her, like that's not enough, her best friend is in on it too! And worse! She gets kicked out of the pack!" She huffed. "If I were in her shoes, I would have joined my parents instead."
"I know right? But I feel bad for her. At least her sense of fashion has upgraded, can't you see those authentic boots and jewelry? She must be trying to make herself feel good by looking good."
They share a soft laugh and their voices soon faded into inaudible murmurs.
I looked down at myself, wondering if the clothes were really authentic. I guessed they were, after all, they did belong to Eleanor. The alpha and Luna must have bought her expensive clothes and shoes.
It was nothing spectacular to me, a red top and leather brown shorts with boots that matched its color and a golden chain belt.
It wasn't my usual way of dressing, but I had seen the exact look on a girl in a movie before and I thought I'd try it out.
Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, the door pushed open and our teacher, Mrs Anderson, walked in with three storms behind her.
"Settle down class." She ordered in her soft yet commanding tone. "We have newcomers today, just in time to prepare for tests. These are the Warren brothers, Jace, Jeremy and Jaxon."
Murmurs immediately circled around in the class. "Oh my goddess they are so hot!!!"
"Look at their handsome eyes! I'm losing my mind!"
"Looks like Ralph has gotten himself some worthy opponents."
The last sentence caused the class to let out a dramatic "ooohhh" in response.
I hadn't even noticed Ralph and his lover at the back of the class until then. Ralph simply laughed it off and made no comment about it but I could see a muscle unnerve in his silent reaction.
"Alright that's enough," Mrs Anderson hushed the class. "You're free to take whichever you want from the free seats."
Jace, always the sunshine amidst the storm, smiled softly at the teacher before coming to take a seat next to mine while the other brothers simply went to the back to sit.
"Now that that's settled, open your English textbooks to page forty nine..."

Class was a good way to distract myself from everything that was going on. I decided to hide how uneasy i was feeling all through the morning classes and then it was finally lunch time.
I never sat alone, I was always with Ralph, Bella and their friends. But now that we were no longer friends, I had to find an empty table to sit on my own.
I wouldn't have cared that i was eating alone, if it weren't the continuous murmuring of everyone around.
Didn't they have better things to focus on? The midterms were just around the corner.
I couldn't help but to roll my eyes.
"Hello pretty face," a voice crept up from behind me and I turned around.
I didn't know him, but of course he had grown interested with everything that was going on. His reddish brown eyes had a devilish smile in them. "Why are you sitting on your own? I could keep you company." He smirked as he sat down next to me.
"No thanks, I'm fine--" i commented as I made to stand up but a sudden force on my shoulder pushed me back down roughly. A grunt escaped my mouth.
I looked up, only to see another foreign face with a creepy smile. "Leaving so soon?" His thick brow arched as he sat down on my other side, trapping me in the middle.
"Please leave me alone!" I barked out but they only laughed in response.
Hoping that someone, maybe even Ralph! Would care enough to help me, but they just took out their phones and simply began recording with interested smiles on their faces.
Ralph pretended not to see me and kept Bella from taking any action. Certainly a word from the Luna would have put them in their place.
I looked around wearily, then green eyes met mine. Jeremy. But he didn't help too, he just looked away.
"We won't bite." One of them said as he placed his hand on my thigh.
I wanted to scream, my insides twisted with horror. Their bodies were so close to mine and their breaths burnt my skin.
"You look so beautiful after being rejected, what's your secret?" His hand made its way to my waist and slid underneath my top. "I could be a really good replacement for alpha Ralph you know..." He muttered in my ear before biting my lobe.
I shuddered, my whole body falling into panic mode. "Please stop... Leave me alone."
"And if I don't?"
A long drawn sigh caused them to look away from me. I turned my head as well to find out who had made that sound.
My eyes lit up as I saw Jace standing before us. "Jace..." Tears trailed down my face.
He gritted his teeth in annoyance. "You have one second to leave before I make you."
A sudden heaviness fell on the room.
