007: A new beginning

1009 Words
The entire ride to their place was silent. A silence as deafening as never before. I sat there, next to green eyes, what was his name again? Jeremy. I sat next to Jeremy, feeling his hatred for me burning my skin. If only jumping out of the car would kill me. But it would only inflict more suffering on me. So i remained put. Their little obedient pet. Shivers ran down my spine each time their other brother, Jaxon, stared at me through the front mirror. His blue eyes were as cold as winter and as deep as the blue sea. His eyes, they didn't just stare, they searched me, bore through me, making me wish I could hide behind something, anything. The other one driving stared too, more of quick glances. They were probably wondering what kind of punishment had been bestowed on them. But Jeremy never stared, never glanced, not even through the reflection of the window. He detested me so much and did not bother to hide it. We arrived at a mansion, bigger than the silver thistle pack house. A mighty gate kept the building away from the main road. Like we were already being expected, the gate drew open on its own and the one who seemed like the older sibling, was it Jace? He was the one driving us. Their names confused me due to their striking resemblance, but a few things told them apart. And I was a keen observer, so those things would help me remember who was who. "We're here," Jace said, looking back at me with a gentle smile. "Welcome to our home." I forced a smile to my face too. He was the only one that cared to welcome me. The other two got down without regard for me. Getting down from the car, I carried my little luggage and followed them inside the building. I wished i had a shell to retract into as eyes fell on me. Pack members of crimson colony wondered who the stranger was, I already got some disapproval looks from a few. Probably for coming in with the alpha's sons. Some stared at me with curiosity burning in their glowing eyes, i refused to make eye contact with anyone. I could not even do it if I wanted to. A young girl walked by, her aura as powerful as ever. Her wolf emitted very strong energy. Strong enough to make me want to shiver. I could not help but to stare. Her eyes were the prettiest set of blue and her hair was curly long blonde that fell over her shoulders. She greeted the alpha's triplets with a nod of her head and they acknowledged her the same way. She walked by without sparing me a glance, making me feel so little and unseen. Thankfully, we got into an elevator and it was just us four again. A long sigh drew from my mouth. Apparently, the alpha and luna lived on the top floor, their place was bigger than Alpha Edwin's place. I stared in awe at everything, I could not start to calculate how much everything would cost. The sofas were a clean white designed with gold on the edges. The living room was very spacious, a see through glass centerpiece in the middle. Tall flower vases decorated the room and the walls were whiter than ever. The living room smelled like scented candles and roses. Everything was beautiful. I could not help not to stand still and stare. "Jeremy, show her to her room. I need to call mom and dad." Jace said, his smooth voice calling me back to reality. Jeremy? Why him? Why not you! Jeremy could not even stand the sight of me! I wanted to refuse but Ida warned me to keep quiet. It was the wisest thing to do. A sigh drew from Jeremy's mouth but he did not argue. "Come with me." He ordered, his deep throaty voice ordered me. And without looking back, he started towards the passage. I ran after him, trying to keep up with his big steps. We walked down the silent and beautiful white passage way until we arrived at a door. He stopped, pointing at the door. "This is your room, wait inside until you are called for." I nodded my head with a anxious smile. His scent filled up my nostrils as he passed in front me, heading back to the staircase. I drew a deep breath, forgetting how to breathe properly for a second. My heart banged at my rib cage, Ida was filled with adrenaline and I was filled with a foreign sensation. The moment he left, a deep sigh escaped my mouth, I could finally breathe. "What is wrong with you?!" 'You like him.' Ida teased me. "Stop!" I let out a hushed whisper. "I don't like him, there's just something... Strange about him. I don't know..." My eyes lingered on his back as he turned for the staircase. "Something that compels me to feel drawn to him. But I don't like him. And you shouldn't do!" 'We'll see...' I rolled my eyes. It actually made me feel elated, Ida was fully back, keeping conversations with me like we had not just experienced a soul crushing rejection. A weary sigh left my mouth. "A new beginning." I told myself as I reached for the door knob. A new beginning indeed. Everything had changed, even my pack! Walking into the room, I realized it had all changed for real! It was no dream at all. My parents sacrificed themselves to protect the Luna but it had been nullified now that I was sold from the pack. They did what they did to keep me safe, to protect me under the wings of alpha Edwin but now his son had crushed my soul with his harsh rejection and then sold off. The room, unlike every other thing, seemed to welcome me with a warmth that filled my heart. My heart, for the first time, was warm.
