Chapter Eight Sipping her cup of coffee, Faith sat on the couch in the living room, Bruno sprawled out on the floor in front of the gas fireplace, which glowed with warmth. One hand wrapped around the handle of her mug, the other using her laptop which was open on the coffee table. Her fingertip slid across the sensory pad, moving the arrow to a link that took her to another article on her building. Over the past week since she’d left the tiny little town the previous weekend, she’d contemplated her unexpected situation.
