Chapter Six
The familiar scenery passed by as Faith and Trista cruised along in the Element, now emptied of her earthly belongings, unlike the first and only time she’d taken this route. There was a bit less snow as they’d had a smattering of warm days over the past few weeks in this area of Colorado, just shy of two hours from Faith’s residence in Aurora.
“So, let me get this straight,” Trista said, glancing over at Faith from the passenger seat. “You stumbled into this place to pee and ended up winning something in a raffle, and that’s why we’re wasting an entire Saturday for this?”
“For the third time, yes, and for the fourth time, you didn’t have to come today, Trista.” She glanced over at the other woman, giving her a hard glance. “I told you I was fine to do this alone.”
