Cionna's POV
When Julien agreed to the trip, I gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek. He would thank me at the end. I climb out of his arms and pull him up to his feet. Without hesitation, I guide him to the bedroom and tell him to lie down.
He raises a suspicious eyebrow at me as I get in the bed beside him.
“Stay focused, champ. We're not doing THAT," I chastise him.
Shoving him down on his back, I link my arms with his and lay back down next to him.
“Close your eyes and focus on your heartbeat."
“Okay. I trust you."
When his eyes close, I take a deep breath and begin to recite the travel spell. I repeat it over and over until I begin to feel tired. I hold him tighter to make sure we don't get separated during the journey. I begin to feel less and less of my body as the words leave
