I drew my knees up to my chest, trying to get that unsettling feeling in my stomach away. However, it seemed like nothing was helping. Biting my lip, I tried to get my mind to work. How was it, that Anna had never gotten to Noah's pack? It seemed unlikely that anything had happened to them... because she'd had two men with her, escorting her out of the pack.
"And you haven't heard from her?" I asked Noah, trying not to sound too worried.
I could almost see Noah shaking his head on the other end of the line. "No, I haven't. I don't know what's going on here, Rose, but since you've been attacked... I would advise that you'd act carefully. This situation has strange written all over it."
