I couldn't believe that Anna was still alive. Or should I be shocked that she was pointing a gun at my head? Should I have expected it? I didn't know. My head was whirling with thoughts, but I couldn't mind link a single soul I knew. I knew the wolf's bane was strong; strong enough to ruin my connection and my strength, but I had never known that it was this strong. I couldn't even feel my wolf anymore.
My wolf hadn't been a part of me for long, but I missed her already. I just felt lost without her presence. She was a part of me now, and right now, I was more lost than ever. I just didn't know what to do with this situation. I was trying to figure Anna out, but I had no idea what had driven her... well, mad.
