Just believe.” He shook his head nervously, and heard a splash behind him. Turning, he saw Arnath emerging from the water with a friendly wave. A roar broke out behind him, and a massive griffin bounded into the shallows, charging in attack. It grabbed Arnath by the arm and with its razor-sharp beak and whipped the merman onto the land.
