Chapter 16Alec’s breath caught as Tuxtax approached. A massive griffin was sauntering into his life, and he was suddenly terrified that his oak home wouldn’t be good enough to keep the interest of his soulmate. As their eyes met, Tuxtax slowed his pace. Alec used the opportunity to savor his lover’s new look. Although his build was similar to the frightening form his sister Eleuthereia had shifted into to defend herself against Arnath, Tuxtax’s griffin-like form was far less threatening. The down-like bronze fur and feathers that covered his mate’s massive limbs softened his features, making them welcoming and inviting.
