"Aldrin!" Vionne called out to her boyfriend. "Mom, we've already eaten. Can you please take care of it? I promise I'll make it up to you tomorrow!"
"I don't know what's going on with you two. I've noticed Aldrin's been acting strange. His face looks like he's got a problem, and from what I can tell, it's between you two," Selina said, her voice filled with concern. Vionne felt a pang of anxiety, wondering if her mother was right.
"H-How? What problem could we possibly have?" Vionne asked, her forehead creased in confusion.
"Well, my dear, he's been looking at your fingers constantly. Where is the ring Aldrin gave you?" her mother inquired, shaking her head. Selina had noticed Aldrin's restlessness, as if he couldn't sit still.
"Oh, that's right! Thank you, Mom!" Vionne hurried back
