Waking up on my bed, Killian sat next to me in a chair.
"No."
"What?" He growled out. Silver flakes swirling throughout his eyes, fangs slowly protruding through his lips. He was so intense, the feral look in his eyes. I knew getting away wasn't going to be easy.
"I.. I don't want to accept you." I trembled. Not in fear, but this was actually turning me on! Something like this shouldn't do this to me. I clenched my thighs, hoping to stop him from noticing my dilemma.
"Good thing that doesn't matter. You're mine whether you like it or not." He said with full confidence as he smirked, staring straight into my eyes. This angered me. But my body betrayed me. I felt my core throb painfully. I couldn't control my reaction, which pissed me off. This isn't okay.
"Just give in to our mate Mya.. We want him just as much as he wants us." Lyra whines. She's wanted to mark him the second we saw him.
"Lyra, how could you? He destroyed the pack you were supposed to protect! We failed."
"I already told you! That had to happen! We had to grow stronger! That — that took losing a lot." she snapped at me.
While I was drowning in my own misery, Lyra took the chance to take control. As soon as I felt her push forward, I tried to push her back, but it was too late. Killian's eyes grew wide, then he smiled. Probably realizing I was no longer in control and he could do as he pleased. I felt so helpless. How could my own wolf betray me like this?
"My handsome mate. We finally get to meet." Lyra said without hiding her s****l desire at all. She let lust fill her eyes and completely absorb her whole being.
"Can I meet him?" She purred.
What? My wolf just purred! What's going on with her? One guy, and she turns stupid. Just great.
Killian stared at her, deciding if it would be a good idea. Obviously, deciding it would be. Since silver flakes littered his eyes, a few seconds later. He wrapped his arm around us, as he stuck his nose in the crook of our neck. When he looked back up, they immediately attacked each other's faces. The sparks that spread with every touch were so addictive. I loved the feeling so much. But, as he started kissing down my neck, I knew I needed control back. They can't get any further. If they mark each other, I'm doomed. My plan will fail, I'll be stuck in his grasp for the rest of my life. I was failing miserably at getting control. But, thankfully, someone barged into the room.
"Alpha! I tried to mind-link you, but you had it blocked off. Rogues have crossed our borders! We need help!" He shouted.
Killian was able to gain control without a hitch. Before he ran out, he grabbed me by the neck and smashed his lips to mine. When I tried to pull back, he smashed his lips harder on mine. When he realized I wasn't going to kiss him back, he bit my bottom lip, gaining a gasp from me. Which, he used to plunge his tongue into my mouth. Deepening the kiss. Before I could react, he pulled away and ran out of the room. I stood there completely surprised by his actions.
Then I realized I could use this as an opportunity to free my pack. They'll be too busy fighting rogues to notice everyone escaping into the woods. With that, I ran out of the room to the dungeons. As soon as I got there, I noticed a guard at the dungeon. I need to find a way to lure him away. Before I could think of anything, the goddess sent me an angel.
"Hey! Tim, there are more rogues! We need your help!" The voice sounded desperate. He rushed away in seconds to aid his pack. As soon as I couldn't see him, I ran into the dungeon looking for any of my members still alive. I found ten right away, locked into two cells. I let them out and quickly told them the circumstances. They understood and helped me free the rest of our pack. Right before I turned to run out of the cells, I heard a voice I never in my life thought I'd have the blessing to hear again. I was so shocked. It couldn't be! I thought they all perished. I turned around to find my beautiful, hot headed bestfriend standing there just as shocked as I was.
"Mimosa! How is this possible? I thought you were all gone!!" I sobbed as I clung to her. I didn't want to let her go. What if she disappeared again? I couldn't do it. I need her to stay. She wrapped her arms around me just as hard and cried in my arms.
"I'm so sorry I failed you. I failed our pack. I don't deserve to be your alpha." I admitted.
She pulled back from me as she stared at me with love, forgiveness, and hope.
"Mya, it wasn't your fault. You didn't know, just like the rest of us. They attacked at our most vulnerable point for a reason. They obviously planned that attack and waited for a time when we couldn't defend ourselves. You couldn't have done anything about it. But, if we can get away, then we will have a chance to get revenge for our fallen members." She says, full of hatred for the Blood Oath Pack.
"Mimosa... I need to tell you something... please don't hate me." I pleaded as tears streamed down my face. I knew she would feel differently when she found out. But I couldn't keep something like this from her. She looked at me tenderly as she wiped the tears from my eyes.
"I could never hate you, Mya. I'll be here every step of the way. No matter what. That's what bestfriends are for, right?" She softly spoke to soothe me.
"The... the alpha of this pack is–" I cut myself off, losing the will to tell her. But, when I made eye contact with her, I got this surge of strength, seeing unwavering strength in her eyes.
"Their alpha is my mate.. His name is Killian."I rushed out. I bit my lip, anxiously waiting for her response. She just stared at me with an unreadable look resting on her face.
"Do you want to accept him?" she asked.
"No! I could never forgive him after what he's done." I answered abruptly.
She smiled at me with a sweet smile. "Alright then," she turned on her heel and walked toward the entrance. I did the same, before I got to the door, I heard a voice come down from the steps of the entrance.
"Mya, wait."
Looking up, Cassie was standing in the doorway.
"Are you going to warn them?"
"No, if this is what you want, I won't stop you. But you need to hurry, they are almost done. Follow me, I'll lead you away from them." She turned, not waiting for a response.
"Come on, this is our only chance. Stay alert, and as quiet as possible." They nodded in agreement as we followed Cassie to our freedom.
