CHAPTER-1

OFF TO SEOUL

Haru is an ordinary middle-class girl, who lost her father 5 years ago, she has two siblings an elder sister and a younger brother. All three have struggled a lot to achieve their father’s dream; of being well educated, successful, and be a good human being. Sister is working as a government employee, brother studying. Haru dreamt of studying in aboard. She had written several entrance exams. ­­­­­Haru is a very responsible and unbiased thinking girl, who loves her family a lot. She had a small world composed of her loving mom, sister, brother, and a friend with whom she shares everything. Though her life was full of struggle after her father passed away, she was always optimistic and she consider herself lucky for having a wonderful family.

An awaited day in Haru’s life has arrived, after writing the TOPIK exam she was waiting for her result. She is very nervous. Everyone in the family is excited to know the result. After so much struggle and hard work, she finally cleared her exam. Everyone, that is her mom, sister, brother, and friend is overwhelmed by her success. Haru is very happy too, but she badly misses her father, he is her great inspiration. All three children are on their way to perceiving their dream. Haru completed her first step to study in aboard, though she is very much willing to go to western countries, her destiny turned the direction.

After enjoying her quality time with her family. Tomorrow she is leaving for South Korea, that night she goes to her mom, to spend time with her. Her mom is very much connected to her, her mom is very upset, they hugged tightly and asked Haru to stay healthy and sleepy well. She also gave her good advice in very few words that “remember we are waiting for you, concentrate on studies, do not mess up with anyone, as you will be away from home and have patience and don’t cross your limit”. By listening to her mom’s advice with a heavy voice, Haru started crying and promises her mom “I will never let you down, I am your daughter, I will return to you as soon as possible” [weeping]. Finally, she is leaving for Seoul with a heavy heart.

She arrives in Seoul, completes her admission process. She is quite excited about the new beginning. After the complication of her admission process, she is allowed to go to the hostel. The hostel is very cool and classy. She has other two girls in her room, Sol Ha and Lucy. Sol Ha is a South Korean girl from a different province and Lucy is from Laos. Three different girls from three different regions of the world, they are having completely different prospects of life. How will their friendship and bond grow in these three years? Should wait and see!

All three introduced themselves, they got a bit uncomfortable in communicating with each other but English is their savior. All three had a good start.

Sol Ha and Haru are from the same class and branch, Botany. Lucy from Arts and culture. The first day of class has arrived. Haru, Sol Ha is in the same class sitting next to each other. Class is filled with filthy rich people and highly classy and trendy girls with high fashion sense. Haru and Sol Ha feel a little uncomfortable between these people but never the less they have each other company. As expected in college life Haru and Sol Ha catch the eyes of some filthy rich girls. One who is leading the group is Hyee Ji Na. She hates girls who are lack in fashion sense and poor, she taunts and bullies them often. The incident between Haru, Sol Ha, and Hyee Ji Na takes place. Hyee Ji Na and her group of three friends were waiting for Haru and Sol Ha after the class.

In the corridor, they blocked them and started teasing for their dressing sense and their looks. Haru is wearing spectacles they removed them and started making fun of her. They made Haru’s nerves up. The only answer Haru and Sol Ha can give them is staying silent as Haru promised her mom, she doesn’t want to mess up with anyone.

On the second day of class Haru and Sol Ha met a new friend Kim So Jin. He is a very funny and nice guy. Kim So Jin is glad to have friends like Haru and Sol Ha. Finally, Haru ends up making some amazing friends like Sol Ha, Lucy, and Kim So Jin. Haru, at the end of the day looking at the moon from her hostel’s balcony, misses her mom, dad, sister, and brother. Thinking “Among all the countries in the world I have finally ended up coming to Seoul, hoping this is the best decision that God has made for me. Everything happens for the good, hoping I will enjoy Seoul for three years. Thanks for accepting me, Seoul”.

CHAPTER: 2

ENTRY OF SPOILED BRAT

It’s been two weeks since started enjoying college. Haru says sitting in the canteen with her three friends,

Haru: It is quite a cool college apart from small negative people (she mean Hyee Jin Na).

Kim So Jin: (laughs out loudly) You haven’t been introduced to the real college yet.

Sol Ha: What do you mean by that?

Kim So Jin: There are two handsome hunks in the college. One had been to Germany for some personal work for a few weeks. He is a kind of a gentleman and a good guy. His name is “Ji Hoon”.

Lucy: How about another one?

Kim So Jin: He is the trouble maker, spoiled brat. He decides the mood of the college. Everything runs according to his will. He is the son of one of the major trustees of this college. He is the one who runs the college indirectly, even the Dean listens to him. His name is “Seo Yun”

Lucy: Where is he now? Doesn’t show up in the college?

Kim So Jin: Yeah, I wonder where is he? His absence made college quite silent.

Haru is listening to all the conversion and ignores it, paying no attention to it. She enjoys her coffee. She is always fond of coffee.

When they reached the hostel both Sol Ha and Lucy were in the discussion of two handsome hunks.

Sol Ha: “Haru which among these two characters in the college do you find interesting?”

Haru: None.

Lucy: Really!!! I think I like the kind guy. That’s “Ji Hoon”.

Sol Ha: I am fond of a spoiled brat, he sounds interesting. That’s “Seo Yun”

Haru: Well… good night, guys.

Sol Ha: You are pretty boring Haru. Good night.

The next day morning Kim So Jin is waiting outside the girls’ hostel for Haru and Sol Ha. All three are ready to go to the class. When they were on their way to go to the class, an imported sports car with high speed and sound crosses Haru and her friends. All the girls and boys could not take their eyes off the car and from the person who is driving it. Boys couldn’t stop staring at the car and girls could not stop staring at the guy in the car. All the girls are screaming as “SEO YUN”. Girls are crazy for Seo Yun. Everyone’s eyes are on Seo Yun and the car, but except one, that is Haru’s. Haru hardly cared about neither car nor Seo Yun. When Seo Yun is passing by Haru, his eyes strike with Haru, as she looks like an outlander. Haru’s eyes strike with Seo Yun too, but within a fraction of a second Haru ignores him by “Rolling her eyes”.

Her ignorance towards Seo Yun catches the interest of Seo Yun.

Seo Yun: (to himself) what the heck “I am eye candy to all the girls but this girl within a fraction of seconds, she ignored me!!! this is a kind of new experience to me; no girl has ever done this to me… am I not worth Watching even for a second to her?

Seo Yun returns to college after two weeks, which is like a day of celebration. Seo Yun is studying Business management. He is also head of the Sports Department. Every year he can choose a new student as his assistant in Sports Department. It is every girl’s dream to be an assistant to Seo Yun. To select his assistant, he will visit all the classes. Finally, reached Haru’s class. When he entered the class, the professor halts the class. All the girls were trying to impress Seo Yun. Hyee Jin Na is very much fond of Seo Yun, she is very confident that he will select her, as she is the most beautiful girl in the class. But Seo Yun’s eyes are searching for someone else. When everybody’s eyes in the class are halted on Seo Yun, Haru and Kim So Jin are writing their notes and having fun. Haru hardly paid any attention to Seo Yun. She again catches Seo Yun’s attention. When everyone is excepting Hyee Jin Na will be Seo Yun’s assistant.

Seo Yun: “You girl from the last bench will be my assistant”.

Everyone is shocked to know that it is “Haru”. Haru herself can’t come out of it that; she is a new assistant to Seo Yun. After making the announcement Seo Yun left the classroom. Haru and Hyee Jin Na followed him. Out in the corridor, Haru calls him.

Haru: “Hello sir”, thank you for choosing me as your assistance. But I don’t think I deserve this designation. So, could you please choose someone else for this designation?

Seo Yun and his friends Sung Ho and Hyun Woo are shocked to know that she refused his offer. Hyee Jin Na is shocked too.

Hyee Jin Na: “She is right! she doesn’t know anything; she doesn’t deserve to work with you. I will be glad if you let me be your assistant”.

Ignoring Hyee Jin Na’s talk,

Seo Yun: (to Haru) Do you even know what you are denying?

Haru: I know everyone wants to work with you but I am not interested, Sir. So, please let the one work, who is interested. The one who is interested to work with you can only give you their 100%. I am glad you choose me but my apology.

Listening to this Seo Yun’s ego hurts badly and starts yelling at Haru. Meanwhile, Kim So Jin shows up and takes Haru from there. Before she leaves,

Seo Yun: “No matter what, you will be my assistant that’s final, else you will see hell in this college. See you tomorrow at sharp 8 AM”.

Kim So Jin consoles Haru,

Kim So Jin: Work with him Haru or else he may turn your life pathetic. You came to Seoul to complete your studies so; do not mess with him. We are scholar students he has the power to cancel our scholarship.

Listening to Kim So Jin’s advice, she thinks he is right, she came all the way to complete her studies, and her family has struggled so much, she doesn’t want to deceive them with her silly decision. She promised herself she will hold herself till the completion of her course, no matter what.

Kim So Jin: Work for a few months later he will be bored, then he will remove you, as you barely talk any language other than English.
