Willow I leave the Foundation with no more progress than when I first walked in. I stop a taxi and slip in, clasping my seatbelt in place. I sigh deeply, leaning my head back against the headrest of the car for a moment to collect my thoughts. My eyes flutter open at the muffled sound of my phone ringing. I grab my purse off the leather seat beside me and fish out my phone only to suck in my bottom lip at the sight of Jack's name flashing across the screen. I bit down on my bottom lip hard as I debated whether or not to answer the call. No, I can't answer his call, not when I already know the questions he is bound to ask. I couldn't tell him about this, at least not yet, just until I'm able to convince Father to make things right again. The ride home felt longer than it should have be
