One Hour Earlier
I was happy to be home. I was excited to get through the day and be able to get home to them and kiss them and just bathe in their scents. I finally got to sleep last night for the first time all week, without tossing and turning. Having their breaths on me, their limbs splayed over my legs and chest felt like Heaven.
Kissing them good-bye this morning had been tortuous and now, watching the clock for the end of my shift sucked. Time was moving so slowly I didn't know what to do with myself.
I had backyard duty today and I watched Luna Elena and Wes get into the heated pool. He was helping her work out her leg, but really they just splashed around like pups for most of the afternoon.
