Matt Matt had the cab stop a few doors down as he didn’t want the noise of a running car to disturb the quiet in front of the house. He stared at the meter. $111.25? What the hell! He rifled through his wallet and emptied it in his hand. He scrunched together $112 and gave it to the cab driver apologetically. He’d cleaned out his account at the ATM before calling a cab and hoped he’d be able to tip the driver and still get some change, but now he was completely broke. The guy rifled through the notes and frowned but Matt was already making his way out the door, feeling shitty about stiffing him on a decent tip.
