Chapter 14: Thursday
Brian
It was late Thursday afternoon and Brian’s legs were sprawled out on the bed as he sat in deep in concentration. His textbooks were splayed around him on the bed and his mind was lost as he sat engrossed in some of his homework that Matt brought home every afternoon. Matt sat on the floor directly next to Brian and frowned down at his own books.
Jake had given Brian the week off from school if he wanted it. Both his uncle and his brother were surprised when he accepted, knowing that he usually wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to go to school. Yet he enjoyed the quiet mornings at home, but enjoyed the loud frenzy that his brother brought with him every afternoon after school even more, as he overcompensated by treating Brian with kid gloves while dancing around
